Savage makes one that i looked at before buying my CZ527, there are a few zastavas around too, but they are hard to locate. 7.62X39 makes a ton of sense for a light deer rifle, but it has a stigma of being inaccurate. The stigma is wrong, but everyone that builds a 223 now builds a 300blk, so 7.62x39 has competition in its own niche. Not that 300blk can compete with handloaded 7.62x39, but its kinda tough for the rifle manufacturers to build a different bolt and chamber, mag, and sometimes stock, just to get a lukewarm seller out there. For 300blk its just a different barrel, and the market likes 300blk. Just my opinion, and yeas i had to pay $700 for my CZ, so i went through this thought process...
