What do you keep on the nightstand?

I have an old 1990s Ruger SBH with a 7.5 inch barrel loaded with Keith SWC .44 spl loads, on the same gun belt over the headboard I also have my condor Hudson Bay knife. In the closet is my mossberg 590. On the wife's side is a Ruger sp101 with rem golden saber loads in .357 mag, as she also has a Marlin 1894 in .357 for her longgun, she can shoot better than I can with that contraption!

As a part time arms merchant, I generally recommend a pump shotgun.

I have a shotgun for just that purpose. I'm supposed to get it out of the safe, and put it next to the bed every evening, reversing the process in the morning.

Reality is that what ever I might be carrying that day ends up on the nightstand,

I sleep with a XD45 with 14 rounds of +P 185 gr XTPs. My Wife sleeps with her M&P Shield with 9 rounds of HST. In the closet, behind a hidden panel (my house is 94 years old) is a SU-16C with 2 x 30 of M885.
We both have cell phones and LED flashlights in our night stands.

A Colt Single Action Army with its hammer resting on an empty cylinder. No safeties to disengage or worry about resting on my clothes on a shelf in my closet a step away.

CZ-82 on the side table., 4 D-cell mag lite next to it, and a large pepper-spray container with them. Ar-15 is inside the next room if necessary. Except tonight. We have 3 granddaughter under the age of 8 staying the night tonight so the guns will be locked up.

When I go to bed I take the S&W .38 snub out of the De Santis pocket holster in my right front pocket and the Ruger LCP .380 out of its cell phone type case on my left hip and put them both on my night stand right beside my bed.

2 young boys in this house so a double stack keypad safe sits on top of my tall dresser about 6 feet away from my pillow. Chambered inside is my CZ P-01 (ccw gun) and a glock 19, loaded but unchambered because it's for my wife and she's not comfortable enough with them to keep it chambered so she knows she has to rack the slide if she ever had to get it out. Also, 2 extra loaded mags for both guns. Flashlight is on my nightstand.

Whatever my carry gun is goes in the bedside safe. Currently it is a P99 with Viridian C5L.

5906 under the pillow and a Maveric 88/00Buck/Streamlight and a Mini14/20 RND/Streamlight both within reach beside the bed. The hallway is always illuminated some. Any intruder will have to go down a long lighted hallway through pets to a black hole to get to me.

A cute little Redhead! I defend her with a Glock 23 with night sights loaded with Golden Sabres. She backs me up with a S&W model 60 loaded with hollow points. A Streamlight Stinger is also on the night stand.

Based on the title, my wife.

Based on the gun question, "This is my rifle, this is my gun. This is for killing, this is for fun". Do I have to spell out what "gun" I sleep with?

Now as to what I have at hand. It's usually my current CCW.

Is it a hand "GUN" or a shot "GUN"?:banghead:

I like profiling and know nothing about you.

But you have a very old landline version phone and a doily on your nightstand. Please tell me you live in a nursing home and didn't actually choose that decor.

Usually this 90lb block headed baby and a beretta m9 loaded with hammer down safety off. I have a lot of options but I decided on the beretta because of capacity, low recoil, and its my quietest option.

HaHa, I post that pic from time to time just to get a good laugh out of the reaction from the young whippersnappers. ;)

Did you have to ask you mom what that was on the nightstand (besides the phone)? :p

ps. that phone might be older than you and it still works. How many cordless phones have you owned already?
