Where do you keep your guns?

Snarky answer? I don't know jorg...It just might be me, but telling the world where you "hide" your guns just doesn't sound too smart to me.

The moderators on this site are ridiculous. Why in the world would a public forum allow censors with small minds to dictate the direction of a discussion among adults. I guess having keyboard nazis dictate the content of an individuals post is THE HIGH ROAD. It is not an isolated practice here. Get rid of the moderators and you will have a great site. Moderators on other forums don't feel the need to constantly interject their opinions on what the content of your posts should include.

All guns locked in the safe. Safe bolted to concrete wall in basement. All ammo locked in separate tool box. All keys under my control. Why"? To keep people who I don't want touching them, from touching them.....kids, friends of my kids, my bro-in-law, etc

Loaded and almost always within easy reach [either in my holster or on the desk/table near me].

No kids or irresponsible people that frequent my domicile. If you enter my house uninvited with a malicious intent, chances are you'll see me and my Glock 19 very soon after ;)

Everything but the shotgun and my XD-40 are in the gun safe, locked up. I keep the XD-40 in the nightstand next to the bed, the shotgun is in a corner next to the bed, full tube.:)

My 870 Exp Tac is in the gun closet in my bedroom, along with the P226. The AR-15 stripped lower that is getting transfered to my name at this moment is going to go in there as well.
It is locked when I'm gone and unlockled when I'm home.

DERK asked, "Where do you keep your guns?"

I answer, Everyone who knows me, knows were it is. If you don't know me, chances are you wont know where it is. Unless....

That being said, If there is any more guns that I need to keep, and that is IF
then they would be in a fire safe.

I have suffered a house fire in the past. Very scary, but happily the fire safe did it's job perfectly, as well as the First Alert Smoke Alarms.
( Thanks, First Alert, you not only saved me, my wife, but you saved the coolest dog ever! )

If anyone here works for First Alert tell them thanks for all of us!

Over the river and through the woods, locked in a concrete lined safe thats located inside a lead painted building thats wrapped in tin foil.

seriously though, they are all locked in gun safes.

from JORG (post 29) :
I think the better question is why would you want to post snarky answer that added nothing to the conversation instead of letting folks who want to talk about it talk about. :)

JORG - You don't get it. Why in the name of all that is unholy would anyone advertize the where-abouts of their collection? If someone is goofy enough to tell 90,929 THR members where their valuable collection is stored (and how it's stored) then please don't gripe and whine when one of them breaks in some day and "borrows" them.

Sorry, I just read post #2 post by the moderator and I suppose that this fits the "Nunya" catagory. But not really.

No YOU don't get it, you don't have to talk about it, but not everyone is wearing their tinfoil hat way too tight.

XD on one side of my bed
Mak. on the other side
12ga. on the same side as the Mak
P-64 next to Lazy Boy in a hollowed out book on table
AK will be hid in rafters [after it gets a good cleaning]
22 bolt action rifle under bed
45/70 under bed
2-12 ga. under bed
2-AR's in fridge
Garand in basement
GSG-5 [not sure yet]
P3AT in my work bag

I keep all locked up except my personal defense guns (G26 or Keltec P3AT for CCW and G17 at home). If it's not on me it's in a fas1safe mounted on my bedframe or if I am someplace I can't carry it is locked in one mounted in my vehicle. I leave the door open at night to the one mounted to the bedframe so the gun is right there and accessible if needed and close it when I get up and get dressed.

Actually, I do get it. In fact, I don't give a damn if you share the location of your stuff or not. But if folks actually do want to discuss it, the polite thing to do is to let them talk about it without a couple of dozen people insisting it's no one's business. All I did was ask those who didn't want to participate to move along so those who did want to talk about could do so in peace. I was simply reminding people of a little courtesy based on prior similar threads.

There are plenty of folks who would say it is stupid to even participate on a forum like this at, since then someone will know you have guns. I suppose you have to draw the line somewhere.
