I ordered the Primer catcher http://www.primercatcher.com, on July 3. Because I don't use paypal, figured I would mail a check and the site states it wouldn't ship until payment received. Cool, no problemo.
Got busy with July 4th plans, figured I would drop it in the mail on my way out the door to a friends get together on the 4th and totally spaced mailing the envelope.
Received email this morning that the primer catcher had shipped! Immediately went into panic mode because I hadn't sent the guy the check yet. Dropped it at post office first thing in the morning on my way into work and emailed him that I had done so.
His reply back, thanking me for the email and he wasn't worried about it, stating "I found the reloading community to be so trustworthy" that "with over 1000 customers so far, not a single one did not pay."
IMHO I just think that speaks very highly of the reloading community and our personal beliefs , we may tinker with things, invent things to make reloading easier, more precise or what have you. But when we need something from a supplier, everything gets squared away.
Was just impressed with his response, thought I would share.

I believe it even the little bit of extra reloading stuff I have sold off for a few bucks every fellow reloader has linked up on time and I have spent a great deal of time just talking with them a complete stranger but its always been a great experience , I have had really good conversations with complete stranger just have this hobby in common almost like an unspoken club in a way,

I had a similar experience when I bought a Hammond Game getter for my 30-06 recently

http://www3.telus.net/gamegetter/index.html

I emailed Mr. Hammond for the first time telling him what I wanted and asking how to pay etc.

He replied saying the unit was in the mail. I asked him why he was so trusting and he replied that he had only been burnt once in all of his years in business.

In some forty-five years (think I calculated that right) of associating with serious shooters and reloaders, (even serious plinkers) I think as a group they are the most honest and decent people on Earth. Yes, there are some nasties, but they 'announce' themselves - one way or another - fairly quickly.

Perhaps it's because shot holes in targets don't lie?

Well, we are all armed. :)

Great story, thanks for sharing.

Just ordered my primer catcher. What a great lookin' product. From the demo, I would say it should work perfectly for me. I am tired of chasing about every 10th extracted primer across the floor, or spilling half of them when trying to dump into a bottle.

I have noticed this also. I belong to a hunt/gun club and when i first started reloading 3yrs ago i kept getting that ring around the bullet and asked the president of my club what he thought and he told me come over to my house and i will help you with whatever you need. we had only known each other maybe a month at that time. he still asks me how the reloading is going. i also noticed anytime a guy sees my blue plastic box of ammo they say oh you reload and then we talk for hours. when you have something very deeply in common with someone like reloading, old firearms, hunting, fishing it seems to gain a trust and open doors.

I have also seen how the guys on here are. i have yet to see a mean word said about anything or anyone and everyone seems very willing to help. I know i have PM Reloadron probably 100 times and felt bad bugging him and he always said email him when i need help. If it wasn't for the great people here and at my club i wouldn't reload.

I was on a hunting forum years ago and you wouldn't believe the crap some of these guys have to go through buying from other members. I don't do it as im scared of getting screwed (no offense to anyone)

I too have found most of the members of the reloading/shooting community to be upright, trusting all around good guys (with a few crusty old farts running around). It has gone as far as being gifted with new ammo, brass, scrap lead, and even an "assault rifle of Russian design"...

I ordered brass from another member here. He asked for my shipping info, so he could figure shipping cost, and mentioned that he was heading out of town in a couple of days, and would be gone for about a week. I said that I was in no hurry, and, by the way, I will mail the check this evening. Prompt reply included tracking info, he had already mailed it. I was very impressed, truly a bunch of good people on here.

I am active in reloading, classic trucks, and railroading. The railfans are notoriously tight, might have a hundred bucks in his pocket for Steak & Shake, but won't put a nickel in the pot to help pay for restoration or operation. The classic trucks guys, for the most part, are honest as the day is long. But a few of the vendors have fleeced enough buyers to give the good vendors problems with the credit card industry. One vendor I went out of my way to get the law after him. I can't add to the great reputation of the members on The High Road.

I doubt you will find anything wrong with the primer catcher. Ordered one for my ol pacific press. Fit like a charm and even had a hose attached to run into the brass bucket. No more emptying the catch, no mess no fuss. Shipping was prompt, he had it mailed out the next day.

Could you give a review on this primer catcher. I'm very interested in this. Looks great.
Here ya go. Really enjoyed using it. Package comes with the Catcher, tube, plug and 2 of the ram plugs.
The picture makes it look blue, no clue why, but it is just a tad darker green than the RCBS green.
Snapped right into place. The ram plug, see bottom corner picture, took a little wiggling to get in and then screwdriver just to pry the bottom out a little, due to new fit.
Worked like a charm. Not a single spilled primer, except when I was curious and took the ram plug out, then they started popping out. Put ram plug back in and no issues.
The site warned that the finish would be rough due to it being a 3d print. Really I was expecting rough jagged edges all over. Finished texture is quite smooth for what it is.
Spent 24.50 (with shipping) and sure as heck beats the thing RCBS calls a primer catcher. Money well spent for this, IMO.

Thanks for sharing this bbqreloader! Also thanks a bunch for the review! Yes, the ram plug is a very tight fit (when you take it out, simply push it out with the shell holder), but I tried making it a little bit smaller and did not like it wiggling around. You can carefully file a bit off on the sides if you prefer a loser fit, as it comes with a spare, it is a low risk modification.

It also comes with a "lifetime warranty" and there are models for the older RCBS RC and RC 2 presses and the Pacific/Bair one.

Man I wish that would fit Lee Breech lock presses. 98% of my primers wind up on the floor.

I had the same problem. I found if you put one of the priming arms in the ram, it'll suddenly work. I still occasionally get a wild primer, but it's now 1 in hundreds, versus almost all of them.

I place an order off of Amazon.com this morning, I should get it by next Monday.
Let me know what you think. Sat down and deprimed about 100 cases with no primers popping out. May pick up a longer tube just to run down into a trash can

TheGerman PIF'd one of these primer catchers to me 2 years ago and I've been very pleased with it. It did not have the ram plug at that time, is that what is causing an errant spent primer to pop out at my feet at the rate of one or two every few hundred cases? I'm using it on a RC IV. I'll add to the praise of the quality of character that THR membership displays each day. I don't participate on forums very much, but THR is something I look at almost daily and enjoy thoroughly.
