hi I was looking for suggestions for a 9mm, however there are rules.
1. No colt, ruger, or s&w.
2. It must be made in America by a American company.

Keltec?

There is a reason some are the likley answers.

A nine millimeter, American made pistol will, most likely, be a nineteen eleven platform.

And finally, commit to the full fledged Americana. Get one in fourty-five auto!:)

Wow talk about limiting the field. Umm, aside from high-end 1911 platform guns like Kimber, Wilson, or Dan Wesson, the only ones that come to mind are the Remington R51 and RP9 and I don't think I could really recommend either one of those.
Umm, does Charter Arms still make a 9mm revolver....?

Removing likely answers.

I’m confused and agree with the posts above, are you looking for real advice? Looking for something different? Playing a game? Etc?

If you want cheap get a Kel Tec or Sccy. Otherwise I’d highly suggest reconsidering the S&W. I haven’t looked at the new compact yet but the 5” and 4.25” are really nice. They’re not cheap by any means and they’re not the most expensive guns. IMHO they are what I consider a good value.

The XDs is a beautiful gun but it’s not made in the USA.

So without more info I think all you’ll get is a list if companies. Or is that your goal? If so why not just say it?

Last I heard, they were made in Worcester, Massachusetts. Thought the company HQ was in NY.
Yep. Justin Moon is American. The company is in the US. Maybe OP is thinking of Justin's dad? Korean born founder of the Moonies!

Don't dismiss Kahr so quickly. Sure, the trigger isn't for everyone, but they are a decent option for concealed carry.

Signed: admitted Kahr fanboy

Sccy, Kel-tec, FMK, Hi-Point, Honor Defense, New Order Firearms NO9, Wilson Combat, Nighthawk, Kimber.

Take your pick. As stated though there's a reason why S&W and Ruger are common suggestions.

I need a car. Must be made in America. No Ford, GM, or Chrysler.

Any ideas?

See how ludicrous this sounds? Without knowing what I intend to use this car for, where I might be using it, and what I want to pay, it becomes a silly question, especially once the most prolific, well-known, and most-easily-serviced makes are excluded.

Maybe we should suggest something like an AR in 9mm. With the awful way the question is written it didn’t exclude carbines. Btw this is my snarky way of agreeing with you (and the snark is aimed at OP not you)

While it is ruffling feathers, this is a reasonable way to go about checking for overlooked alternatives. Presumably, he already knows about the mainstream choices (and is either evaluating them on their own merits or has already ruled them out), and is asking here to see what options he may have missed. An "ok, but what's in the BACK of the display case" sort of thing.

As for actual guns to consider... the ones that come to my mind and haven't already been mentioned, haven't made it to production yet.

The answer to the question seems obvious to me: Tec-9

Pretty sure some versions were made in America by Americans.
