Where are they made? I still care

I refuse to buy pistols (Or anything) made in any country that often has street riots with large crowds screaming "DEATH TO AMERICA!!" Any country that says they are going to push another country into the sea or nuke them is firmly on my "DO NOT BUY" list.
Other than that my money rewards freedom to work (As opposed to slave labor) quality for the dollar, because I believe in the Free Market.

The only Glock I have that says USA is the Glock 44. Is it not exclusive to the USA.

Correct..the G44 is made both places. The G42 is ONLY made in the US..the Glock 25 and 28 are ONLY made in Austria, as examples.

Sooooo..I guess you don't buy ammo made in Russia...I don't.
Seventy-eight percent of Russians polled said the United States meddles "a great deal" or "a fair amount" in Russian politics, compared to 69 percent of Americans who say the same about Russian interference in U.S. politics. ... The poll found that 31 percent of Russians said Moscow tried to influence U.S. domestic affairs in a significant way, compared to 55 percent of Americans who felt that their own government tried to do the same thing in Russia. ... Only 31 percent of Americans say they hold a positive view of Russia, and 24 percent of Russians say the same of the United States. ... Eighty-one percent of Russians said they felt the United States was working to undermine Russia on the world stage; 77 percent of Americans said the same of Russia

I think that at first there was the STI Staccato, then they said "Let's call everything that."

I think selling movie props went to their head and they thought they could break out into the general market of hideout and duty guns. A quick look shows one model that would be a good USPSA Limited, IDPA ESP, or 3GN pistol.

That fits both in my book. But mostly that's russian government duplicity. The people of Russia for the most part admire Americans one on one, they attribute swamp behavior to swamp people just as I do. As for quality, again, private Russians are capable of fine quality when paid just as many American companies still do. Any "American" company that uses zinc alloy in any guns they make or sell is also on that list because they think the America people are too stupid to know about what garbage it is. Dishonesty is the same all over the world.

Being totally inept, I didn't read about any recent production >> all-metal, DA/SA 9mm<< US-made handguns. And had never, until around late 2018, read about the 3rd Gen S&W semi-autos in 9mm.

That appeared to leave only Makarovs, then CZ, German Sigs, Walther P99 etc.
US companies should still have produced all-metal, DA/SA guns (maybe some did the last few years?) . But cost.....

What US company designed a striker-fired DA/SA gun such as the Walther P99 AS?
So...that means Ulm Germany. Pretty simple decision for those unique features. There must not be any demand for that among US manufacturers.
