The MG42 is an awesome weapon, fires so fast it sounds like canvas ripping.MG-42, Maxim, PKM.........
Mine is a FA Thompson. I may yet have a chance. Those who haven't fired an M1 Garand, you really need to try one. My favorite.

I fired one of those when I was 11. I agree with beenbag; there are a lot of famous guns I've never fired-I'd sure like to shoot a .45 Luger and one of the meteorite 1911's. Or Oswald's Carcano. Or the Tsarevich's 1/2 size Mosin, most the guns sold by Kull & Supica......Mine is a FA Thompson.
Lee Harvey Oswald's Carcano.
Good one!Lee Harvey Oswald's Carcano.
Be sure to allocate at LEAST a full day to sightsee. That museum has no equal, in my estimation. There is a Firearms Museum in Cody, Wyoming I plan to visit this coming summer, lots of famous guns. Missed it my last time through.Should be fun!

I have never fired a 1911
I saw it up close back in '90 in the FBI firearms property room. Along with some Bonnie and Clyde, Dillinger, and James' gang weapons. Not the gun of course
I had one as my first deer rifle. A total piece of crap. It was the most inaccurate gun that I have ever owned and I have owned a lot.Not the gun of course
