Email from Kel Tec about new pistol

I love keltec guns, but if the above specs are true it is a total loser! I WANT a .32 1.5 stack ala Shield that holds 10+1, is 7 oz, and 0.9 inches. It must never show rimlock, if that takes 2 different magazines one for ball and one for JHP so be it. This I will buy, the above is inferior to the P3AT.

I had a PF9, briefly. Thought it would make for a nice pocket 9 but it was still a bit too big (at least to my way of thinking), and the DA trigger was rather heavy and uneven.

Ended up trading it in for a true pocket .380, a.k.a. a KelTec P3AT.

Just a side note. I was so impressed with the Little P32 that I am seriously thinking about the PF9. At 12oz, it is worth looking into.

I got my PF9 first, back in 2010, and my P32 the following year. Both have been excellent for their intended purposes, and both together are my most-common carry setup, the PF9 on the hip and the .32 in a front pocket.

Kel Tec is in Cocoa, FL, just a few miles west of Cape Canaveral, which is where Hurricane Dorian is likely to make landfall with 150 mph winds.

There's no chance Kel Tec will be announcing what this new pistol is Friday, the Kel Tec facility is likely going to be obliterated.

Kel Tec firearms may well become collector's items soon.

You're not from here, are you? Hurricanes have been hitting Florida since long before George Kelgren got here. Companies here don't typically build their facilities so loosely that they would be "obliterated" by one. Yes, there could have been damage and related delays, but nothing that would relegate the company to the annals of firearms history. Kel-Tec is too successful a company, and is heavily-insured.

Of course, as we all now know, Cocoa is no longer in this storm's potential strike zone (and the storm has significantly weakened.)

I'm not much into polymer firearms but at $220 idish and more than 10 rounds, it would be a good pistol for can plinking Championship.
Beretta Neos and Ruger are above that price, so I might squeeze one.

It's actually rather aesthetically pleasing for a Keltec. But unless they found the magic formula for making a semiauto .22LR 100% reliable, I'm not interested.

I wish I had a P32, can't find them locally and I just don't have the desire to do all the mail order thing.... but I miss the hell out of the one I had years ago. the PF9 is a great idea but the execution is just a little lacking. it seems to recoil a lot more than other mini 9mm guns of its size and weight.

Reviewing the pic, I can see the lines, and found them very pleasant for a polymer gun, no sharps, rail, grip not much aggressiveness, plastic sights (deduct point there), grip look a little wide as prior model, slide serrations are delicate, over all not bad I liked..
I wonder how hard or mushy trigger has, any owners around here please joint.

It's not like they need a hurricane for delays. :)

I own two P-32s, one P-40, and my neighbor has a PF-9. That PH-9 is a nifty & light little pistol. I am not rushing out to get one, but it is a solid gun for little money. Shot it and yes, it does recoil more than, say, a CZ-75 with 147gr pills. No shinola. He eventually was content with 124 or 115 gr JHP.

"You sure don;t sweat much for a fat girl."

But I get your meaning and you have a point.

I'm disappointed too. A double stacked P-32 with better sights would have been great.
We all have our little hobby horses in regards to Kel-Tec. They historically weren't good at updating their guns, with the exception of SUB-2000 (although they disposed with LRBHO when they replaced SUB-9). A double-stacked P32? Why not one with a longer barrel? How about an update to the SU? And not just dropping the dust cover to save a few cents. P-11 with the trigger of PF-9. RFB with the RDB bolt, or any updates for that matter. The last round hold-open on P-3AT would be great, too! Instead we just get... this.

I was hoping for a 32 but got exactly what I was expecting. I know the KT business model is to provide basic reliable guns at bargain basement prices, or wildly different stuff than is currently available (but it’s gotta fold up or be bullpup) but I really would like to see a keltec revolver. Even if they copy the ruger, I want to see it.

kinda preferring the double stack .32 idear with longer barrel.

i like keltecs though for what they are and lower costs typically. own a half dozen of them or so....this one isnt thrilling me but more than 10 round .22lr mags part is appealing.
