Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by shimming the hammer? I'll probably give them a call today about the other machine marks.Shimming the hammer can stop the scrubbing on it.
The other stuff is weird, call them and ask about it.
Being stainless, it could be easily removed
Thank you. I'll be giving them a call. I'll inspect a bit further in some hidden spots to make sure all is addressed. I absolutely love the pistol (outside these hogue bantam grips).I would be calling Ruger on that one, they should be refinishing that area for free given it was a new gun.
Shimming a hammer involves putting thin shim washers on each side of the hammer to center it in the hammer trough of the frame, so as to keep the sides of the hammer from scrubbing.
you may not need magnum primers unless all you have is 296/h110.Now if I could only find some Large Magnum Primers. Kicking myself for not getting the 454 so I could use the primers I already have. Wild world we live in. Thanks all.
All I got is h110 and lil gun. Sounds like I shouldn't use the lil gun in the revolvers anyway though. Will save them for levers.you may not need magnum primers unless all you have is 296/h110.
It's all about how many can we produce per hour and ship out?
No, QC is a thing of the past during COVID.Last few of SP101’s I have owned has had canted barrels of horrible Crane /Frame fit ... .. QC is a thing of the past for most firearm manufacturers

Update. They are sending UPS to my house to pick the pistol up and will ship it back via FedEx. They are covering all shipping cost. I just hope it doesn't sit in factory for eternity.Ruger CS is exceptional, they'll fix you up. Don't accept damaged goods, luckily you're dealing with an excellent company that will take care of you, I have no doubt about it. Even if function is fine the look is not good.
And yes, you should have got a 454...

I sent a super redhawk back 2 years ago, I had it back in 10 days. Thing are likely slower right now but it think it will be timely.Update. ---I have a feeling you will be pleasantly surprised. I've heard some good stories about Ruger spending some extra time on a firearm when something like this happens and by extra time I mean performing some tuning and polishing. It should have never left the factory like that, but I'm sure Ruger will take care of you.
Please post your results when you get it back.
