Happy Easter Gang!

on this fine Easter Sunday evening I’m on my back porch with my tikka .22 which I don’t shoot enough she is well built handles nice and shoots very well so I just wanted to take a moment and say a good .22 is tough to beat!

So what good .22 do you have?

Everyone needs a good 22.I've been liking the ruger Americans, I've had 3 22s and just got a 17hmr recently. A cz is always a good choice, I'm looking to get one soon for a nice squirrel rifle. I really like single shot 22s, unfortunately there's not many around my area. I have a first year first month production Remington 33 that will shoot anything good. I have a Rossi 62a with many tens of thousands of rounds fired.

My “nicest” .22 LR is a CZ 455 Lux. Great wood and metal, very classy.

I have two 10-22’s, a standard from the mid-1980’s and a stainless RSI I bought about a year ago as the panic broke. Both are also fun to shoot, but the stainless/walnut full stocked RSI has a bit more wow-factor than the standard.

I also have a couple of Henry levers, a standard and a youth, and a Rem 581. This is my Super Colibri-stoked bunny slayer for the cottontails that infest my yard.

As for .22 Mag, I think that’s another good one to have. Here I have two, a Henry lever and a Ruger American. Neither are what I would call a premium rifle, but they’re fun to shoot nonetheless.

Stay safe.

My nice 22 right now is a CZ 457 American fitted with a Lothar Walter heavy barrel. We were actually at the range yesterday for a while and I'd wanted to spend most of the day shooting it, but ended up working on guns......

I also have a Marlin 795 fitted with a 22-in model 60 barrel and some other stuff that's actually really fun, and accurate...... I just like bolt guns better, And it's hard to say that the CZ isn't classier.

I've got my dads Nylon 66 which gets shot only occasionally now. My Buckmark 22 slab side pistol is one of my fun guns along with a Ruger 22/45.

But my newest pick up is a Winchester Model 68...the stock is rough and the "patina" is nearly invisible but after a good cleaning of the bore and the fact that the rifling is VERY visible I am happy to say is very sharp. The peep sight is so cool and it just feels like a Winchester...and I love my Winchesters. My Model 43, 94's, 70, and 88...they just feel...right.

And there are always more Winchesters out there for me to get. :)

Love my Savage Mark II. Especially in these times of scarce ammo, should make shooting a little less painful to enjoy. And, I just love the way it looks with the Boyds stock.

Where do I even start? The Winchester 9422 that I now own for the second time? Maybe the CZ452 American in left hand? Maybe the S&W M&P 1522,the most fun you can have with clothes on. Love my 10/22 rifles too. And lets not start on all the single shots! But my current favorite has to be my Ruger American threaded with suppressor. Only wish i had got a suppressor years ago!!

My Ruger 77-22 with the Leupold 1.5-5 VX-111 is my most accurate 22. It will shoot nickel size groups at 50 yards with cheap 22 ammo.

I have a Nylon 66 that my Grandfather gave me when I was a kid. Its a fun gun to plink with. I killed my first Squirrels with it.

I also have one of those little Browning take down rifles in 22 short. The one that shucks the shells out of the bottom.

I haven't been able to get to the range but I will soon. Hmm where to start. 540XR. just worked on, Winchester 74.just finished some work on her. Those first. My prize 452's that are on my agenda to bed and do mild trigger work.. Daisy that needs sighting. My heavy barrel Ruger 10/22. I like shooting and tinkering on all of them.
