What autoloader do you carry?

When Im not carrying a revolver I do carry my Colt Commander in a Milt Sparks IWB holster that I found in a box at the lgs for 20 bucks.

Well that's a pleasant surprise; like opening a box of Cracker Jack and finding a really nice prize inside!

Done, you're dumb.
I have holsters that cost more than that price point. Not to mention EDC pocket knives that cost considerably more too.

What did your cell phone cost you?

Even if it cost 100x your price point. It would be worth every cent paid if I had to use it and I am still above ground.

my life is certainly worth more than a dinner out with the family.
Apparently I was a little less than clear. Use it, lose it. Up to you. If your point is reliability, you lose that argument too.

I've got several options, but generally I think I've finally settled on this one, a S&W Shield 2.0 with a green laser. Really nice with my 70 year old Mark 1 eyeballs. Just the standard 8+1 version. I'd never heard of the Shield plus when I bought it or I might have gotten one of those.

G30sf. Best carry gun available in my humble opinion. 20220124_190325.jpg

If it's heavy jacket weather I may carry a g20. If it's hot and I'm lightly dressed, going swimming or to a pajama party it's the g42.

I stick to one manual of arms for carry guns, glocks are cheap and if they get banged up or end up in an evidence locker I'm not emotionally attached.

Gen 1 Shield 9mm in cooler weather (9 months of the year). In high summer my LCP Gen 1, in shorts, sweats.
If I carry in an area without the rule of law, my XD-45 with 2 extra mags (40 Gold Dots total).

Seems like the disconnect for some other posters here is that expensive guns must mean more than cheapies, and that cheap ones automatically mean less. My sentimental stuff stays at home (mostly cheap guns) . My collectibles stay at home. My carry gun isn't cheap by most standards, but it don't mean anything more to me than your Glock does to you, I bet.

Niether do my work boots, and they weren't cheap either...but I still wear them every day too.

Lol I don't get how this turned into a cheap vs expensive gun contest. My Kahr is pretty goddamned expensive. I also don't think it's worth near it's cost unless you just happen to want a stainless steel striker fire and don't mind going with a single stack. My TRR8 is crazy expensive but in comparison, I think it's actually a decent value for what you get.

I sold a RIA M206 recently after sending it in for a timing issue and it coming back with even worse problems. Out of the box though, I thought that gun was just as good as my Colt Cobra for all defensive purposes. I don't get it lol. If someone wants to carry a cheap guy, why does it matter? If someone wants to carry an expensive gun, why does it matter?

Price wouldn't necessarily stop me from carrying something unless it was too extremely rare to ever replace. The chances of ever being involved in a self defense shooting are incredibly low for most people. The only time I've ever even seen it as even somewhat likely was when I lived deep in the hood where shootings occurred outside my apartment on a weekly basis. At the time I carried a 45 single action revolver. I knew it would get the job done if absolutely necessary, and I knew I'd have to be very deliberate with it.

It didn't (and, BTW, a Kahr doesn't strike me as pretty damn expensive). But some of us have learned, over the years, that reliability does increase with the commensurate increase in price of one's chosen tool. Not to say that one's budget firearms are not gonna be able to save one's life, but...

What I carry mostly...

Wilderness "Instructors Belt"?

Yup.

When I started carrying they were the only thing on the market unless you wanted to pay 80 bucks for hand tooled leather.

I payed maybe 20 bucks for the WT on Ebay 6 or 7 years ago. It's still in perfect shape so I don't see any reason to try any of the new ones

The autoloader that I carry nearly everyday is a Sig P365. The reason its "nearly" everyday carry is due to the AZ heat. Some days the wardrobe "only" allows the Ruger LCP for carry. Nothing really exciting but two options that have worked well for me. But, I'm always looking for other possible options! :)
