The only revolvers I own which I would consider target revolvers. A 17-3 and my 48-4.

Well....I shoots a lots of targets with it. This was dad's single six, I believe 1982 vintage. What a lights out gem it is from 15-20 yards in long rifle form, 25 with the magnum. So glad it hangs out with me these days. I keep thinking I want a Mark IV or another wheelie 22, but I really have it all in this package right here.
Single actions are great for southpaws too
Pretty sure this is my K22 from 1948 and not my M14 looks like the cylinder is recessed lol.

does 3 screw shoot better than new? They have a perfect condition CO Comemative for $700. Was hoping to recuse from the safe queen throne and shoot it

I have both, and I can tell you that the average shooter would not be able to see the difference on the target. Yes my triggers feel different, but so do the triggers between my other NM SSs too.
No 2 guns are exactly the same.

I have a few rimfire revolvers that I would consider target guns.

Single Six with the Bisley grips is on my list. Have a Vaquero .357 with Bisley grips and it really feels and shoots nice. Great balance.

All you fellas with M17's: do you find it necessary to shove cartridges in with some effort, after a few cylinders-full? I've read elsewhere that the charge holes can be reamed, but I hesitate....

I've got a Ruger Single Six but I'd hardly call it a target gun. My first model H&R Sportsman made in 35 or 36 I do consider a target gun even if it is a little rough. It shoots circles around the Ruger.

They are tight on purpose, but mine dont seem to get any tighter between cleanings. WWB ammo barely chambers, and ejects with difficulty- but running WWB in a M17 is like putting kerosene in an F15 Eagle's fuel tank- it'll burn, but why bother?

When I first bought mine the chambers were tight. Ejection was hard after a few cylinders of ammo and it didn’t really matter what brand or load.
One day I completely disassembled the cylinder, soaked it 24 hours in CLP then cleaned it. After that I used a .22 rifle swab in a drill driver and covered with Flitz polish and I polished each chamber spinning the swab at a moderate speed for 20-30 seconds. Cleaned everything up, lubed and reassembled and it has been much better since.
