I believe the factory hammer spring is rated around 21lbs. I paid Beretta for a "trigger job" and as part of that they installed a much lighter hammer spring which I believe was 15 or 16 lb. While that worked fine with 9 mm, and the trigger pull was signficantly reduced, the pistol would not function reliably with the .22 lr practice kit. The hammer strikers weren't hard enough. I replaced whatever was in there with an 18 lb spring and the .22 kit works reliably, and the trigger pull is still satisfactory. Wolf Spring co. sells a kit of springs with values from 15 to 20 lbs (approximately) so if you have access to that,
it might be worth a try to give you some options. Changing out the spring takes a couple of minutes. Good luck.
