For 2012, is there any "dream" firearm that you may like to buy?

For me, I would like to purchase an original S&W 627PC sub nose "Clint Eastwood" 8 shot .357 revolver.

No, not the new version.

I would like the pre-lock Lew Horton version.

Quick question ......... what is the going price for these original Lew Horton versions of the 627PC snub nose revolver in the PC case in like new to NIB condition?

So what's your 2012 "dream" firearm?

Season's Greetings!

Thanks .........

All of them? I do have a long list :)

Probably the first with be a 1917 or a Swiss 1889

.
I'm buying a PSE Revenge bow this year and deer hunting with it.

Last year I shot my first muzzle loader deer and this year I shot my first shotgun deer. Hope to rifle, shotgun, muzzle loader and bow hunt next year.

Got my buddy to buy a new muzzle loader last year and he shot a nice doe the next day.

No, probably not any dream guns.

Debating what I want to get now actually. I have a couple different wants. Maybe new glass, maybe a PSA, maybe a new .22, maybe a "new" M1, maybe components. Hard to say. I have a hard time deciding what to buy sometimes.

Honestly, I would have preferred to purchase no firearms in 2012, but I think that Dan Wesson Titan Elite might be more temptation than I can bear.

I've already started selling plasma and eating nothing but ramen noodles in anticipation of a possible buy.

Handgun: Ed Brown Executive Carry 1911

Rifle: Ruger #1 in .45-70 if a friend comes through on his invitation to hunt bears in Alaska.

IF, and I do mean IF I could fill my list money wise, there's no way I could buy 50 or 60 guns in one year without drawing a great amount of unneeded attention to myself by our uncle.

On the other hand, I did buy a looong wanted pistol for myself for Christmas. A SA EMP .40. So I guess I'm good for a year? or two?

I'm looking at 2012 to be the year I finally get a few long-put-off projects completed. Have a Ruger #1 that needs to be sent for a rechambering, a Single Six that needs some work and a Blackhawk that will be getting a complete makeover. So...unless something very intriguing comes along, I'm looking at fewer purchases hopefully. Quality over quantity! Besides, there's verrry few left on the "gotta get" list.

I'm hoping for two new gun purchases in 2012.

I'm itching for an SKS, and after watching the Firefly Marathon on Science, I'm set on getting a Taurus model 85 (for the base of a Mal Reynolds pistol look-a-like build). Might get a model with the longer barrel though and in .22lr.

A Caspian or STI frame and slide in the white. To build a custom 1911 of my own . Otherwise a SR1911 will do for now.

This year's short list goals includes an M1, Colt AR and maybe the new Keltec .22 mag pistol...Will see tho...

A second 'Service Grade' Garand from the CMP, if they will have many more available.
Five Enfields, but only one M-1...shameful.

Maybe "bad news" next November could result in imports of M-1s being blocked from other countries (?), as has already been the case regarding South Korea.

I plan to make zip, zero, nada in new gun purchases in 2012.

I’m getting an all around bolt action (deer/coyote) in the next couple of days and that will be the last for at least a year.

I’ll be taking all firearm related discretionary income and spending it on shooting and classes.

I have a standing goal of buying at least three guns per year. As of Christmas Day 2011, my three guns for 2012 will be a Colt King Cobra 6" stainless, M1 Thompson repro, and a M1903A3. Also thinking about substituting a Dillion 550 for the third gun. Two weeks from now, the list will have changed.

Something in a 4" .40 S&W. I didn't like the way the Glock felt in my hand, nor the Springer XD. A S&W M&P is on the short list but I'd like to find a CZ75 and FN to fondle. I'd like to find something with an external hammer and thumb safety - 1911 habits die hard.
