The CZ Club

I just got my first to play with in IDPA since I am a Ruger guy otherwise. I have the CZ Phantom and I like it. I am about to send to Cajun Gun Works for trigger, hammer and new front sight.

If you've shot an XD9 and loved it, just go with it. You can get a CZ later.

Unless you can compare the two guns side by side, it'll be hard to make a good judgment. You'll be second-guessing yourself forever. Get the XD9 and as soon as you can afford it, get a 75B (or one of the compacts.)

I don't like the grip safety on the XD line, but like other things about the gun.

I suppose I should have been a little clearer. I was looking for advice on how I could go about finding a way to shoot the CZ in the Charlotte area. The ranges I have been to don't have them for rental.

If you are ever in the greensboro area drop me a line, I have several CZ models you could try out.

Okiegunner, sorry, didn't see your post. Nothing wrong with a Tanfoglio, used to carry one a long time ago, before I switched to CZs. The trigger pull may clean up on the Tan, but lighten up, not likely, not without a trigger job. I don't know anyone doing trigger jobs on Tanfolgios. You could ask czcustom.com, but I don't think they do Tans.

My first CZ and my first gun.
I still need some work, but the accuracy is definitely there judging from the factory test target.
One day I picked one up and I couldn't stop thinking about it until I was 21 and able to take one home.
I only wish I could give it wooden grip panels or something, because some of you all have gorgeous pistols, but I guess that's a type of accessory you have to give up with a polymer frame.
I love how the high grip I can get on the gun without worrying about getting pinched by the slide thanks to the inside the frame design.
Gonna shoot some steel and bowling pins with it in the next week or two, so we'll see how I can do with it against some of the other competitors there.

Czech your carry system

Ok I hope you guys get a kick out of this. I don't actually carry it yet, but it was a funny idea I had.

I've gotta admit, as much as I enjoy shooting my CZ-75B, it's even more fun with the Kadet adapter.

I can afford to shoot .22 LR all afternoon. :)

Shooting the Kadet Kit is a lot of fun and mine is very accurate. It has pretty much taken over one of my 75Bs.

nice guys, got to shoot my shadow recently. i wish my groups could shrink a little more:eek: dont know where the other 3 shots went:confused:...jk

sawdeadz, NICE!
Mike, that is the very rare but increasing slowly in production CzechpointUSA SA vz-58, 5.56mm Tactical model, with AR-15 magwell adapter kit. This version also has the side rail for scope mount, and the short rail mount itself, with Leupold rings...and a cheap no name Chinese 4 power scope that actually seems to work quite well. :)
The rifle is accurate and reliable, did a couple of reviews that should be in Rifle Country somewhere. ;) Working up loads for it gently, 1-7 twst, seems to like 55 grain bullets so far. Taking my time...
I wonder how that mount would be with an ACOG on it? Well, like I could afford one, that is... :D

just snagged an SP01 this week! I have to wait 25 more days to DROS it, then another 10 days to pick it up. Why do I have to wait 25 more days? Because in CA you can only buy 1 new handgun every 30 days, and I just DROS'd a RIA 1911 9mm Tactical. Damn CA laws.

I'm not sure if I can join or not. The only czech I have right now is a vz-24 8X57 rifle. I've eyeballed many CZs and I think my next gun purchase will be a CZ 82, but funds are tight right now. I figure I'll get that and maybe use that to replace my wife's carry gun (an obnoxious H&R topbreak snubbie with about a 25 lb trigger) Maybe get one for myself as my "dress carry" gun (regular beater is a .38 Taurus revolver) and to have fun with on the range. Anyway, the vz-24 is from the BRNO factory, but is that close enough to join?

Sure...you're in. BRNO's are great rifles. And your interest in purchasing a CZ 82, demonstrates good taste, tempered with fiscal restraint.
