My brother shot my RRA predator pursuit and really liked the 2 stage trigger and wishes he had one for his bushmaster. I want to buy him one as a gift but have run into obstacles. Their seems to be a shortage ...and I blame the election...(gotta blame something). Midway,Brownells, RRA and other vendors seem to be out of stock. Can anyone one here point me in the right direction as to who might have some in stock. I really do not want to go with the Geiselle trigger as it is almost double the price. Thanks.

I just bought the Geissele SSA for $180. And that is a really good piece of equipment. I do not think there are any decent 2 stage triggers for than $150.00

And you would be wrong. You have obviously never shot a RRA 2-stage trigger.

Try Compass Lake Engineering. Frank White makes a nice two stage trigger and for similar price as others.
Not being a mainstream gun parts supply house, he may not be stripped of his inventory.
You can likely buy from Geissele directly if the other sellers are out. I can vouch for their products too. Really excellent, though not inexpensive. His wife started another company selling very excellent triggers in a lower price tier. You might check those as well (you'll be able to find the name on the Geissele site).

+1 on the Frank White trigger. he bailed me out at camp perry one year when my jewel trigger laid down. the frank white trigger is as good as the RRA 2-stage and both are fairly cheap. They are not in the same league as the Geissele Hi-speed, but not same money either. They are a bit better than the Geissele SSA. I can't speak to the SSA-E much as i haven't owned one.
for comparison, the RRA 2-stage is decent when it works, but has a history of failures. The Geissele SSA is not quite as crisp, but also non-adjustable and far, far less likely to fail. So, it depends on what you're looking for.

I have one RRA two stage that is about four years old now. It has been 100% reliable with no change in feel over this period of time. I also have four ArmaLite two stage triggers from three years to three months of uses on them. Both RRA and ArmaLite use the same basic design as do almost all AR two stage triggers like Geissele and others. They are a copy of the M1 Garand trigger design.
I prefer the ArmaLite because it has a slightly wider contact area on the disconnector. The ArmaLite also has a adjustable spring on the disco that allows a quick and easy change in trigger weight. Three positions with about .5lbs change with each position. The ArmaLite comes in two versions, a tactical two stage and the NM two stage. Both are hand tuned, the tactical version has a slightly higher pull weight, and they leave a touch of creep on the trigger. The NM version uses a different shape straight leg trigger, and is tuned for zero creep.
Both these can be found for under $100. The ArmaLite tac two stage LPK is $120 for everything.

Frank White aka Compass Lake Eng. is a great trigger for the money. It's better than the rest of similar design because he welds a hardened toolsteel sear surface on the trigger. This prevents battering of the trigger sear face.
A little back story is that he made the match triggers for Bushmaster years ago. They cheaped out and started making their own but omitted the hardened piece.

IMHO, the RR 2 stage feels better than the SSA-E. The SSA-E also has a really short first stage that just seems odd to me. I bought my RR trigger second hand in good condition from a guy off ARFifteen com for about $100. I see them new there in the $125+ range.

That is interesting to know. I bought a Bushmaster trigger a couple years ago instead of a Frank White (I already have two or three Frank Whites) mostly out of convenience, one stop shopping when outfitting a lower.
The Bushmaster trigger was junk when compared to the Frank White trigger. The Bushmaster trigger is long gone.
