wow seeing a lot more .35's than I thought I would, and less 32win spl's than I thought I would, I also thought there would be more 45-70's , I remember a few years when everyone had eather over 30cal's or under 30cal's but no one showed up with a 30cal , and there are a lot of 30cal's out there. but they just didn't make it to are hunting party that year ,"a bit odd I thought"
I have not seen any .32rem's yet , ? I guess I'll take mine out this year ,so I can list it :)

yep there are a lot of them out there,, thats why I thought it was odd ,I have a 308win too just some years I didn't see any and mine stayed home too,
I also thought we would see more mag's ,? but we are only on page 3 ,

Whinny 94 30-30, Rossi 308, Marlin stainless 30-30, Marlin blued 30-30, Savage 270. I thought about takeing my Mosin M44, but that is just to much weight. Now the gun that stays in the camp behind the front door usually is 30-06 for the long field that is infront of the cabin. Ive been kicking around the idea of a 444 marlin, just for a shoulder realignment.

My group, Savage 110 in 7 Rem-Mag, Rem 700 in 30-06, Ruger 77 in 257 Bob,
a Chilean 95 Mauser carbine in 7x57, and a Yugo 24/47 sporter in 8x57(mine).
The Bob & Chilean wear iron sights. (the old guys--LOL).
One or two of us usually bring a back-up just in case;
I bring a 30-30 and the savage guy brings another 110 in 270

Might be heading over to Nebraska for a hunt this year. Might take my Turk, or my Mosin. My K31 took all the fun last time I went.
7.92x57 (8mm Mauser)
7.62x54mmR
7.5x55

~On The Road Again...~

Rem 700 30-06, Howa 1500 30-06, Win 70 7mm-08, Norinco SKS 7.62x39 w/ bayonet used as monopod, Rem 6mm.

It's just hard to beat the 30 30 for deer. But if I think I will get a shot over 200 yards than my 30 06 is coming out 451 yards last year just a doe but great shot for me anyways about 3 to 3.5 foot drop

No deer camp, we just show up at a relative's place or meet up in the woods. Depending on where we are really determines which calibers show up, i don't take a 30-30 to eastern MT where a 200-300+ yd shot is the norm and anything less than 100 is lucky.

2-.300 Win Mag
1-.300 RUM
3-30-06
3-30-30
2-.243 Win
1-6mm Rem
1-7mm-08
1-.307 Win
1-35 Whelen
1-45-70
1-45-90
1-300 Savage
1-.280 Rem
2-.270 Win

Off the top of my head in our camp the last few years I have seen:

Savage 99 in 30-30 (grandpa's rifle, passed to his youngest son now)
Remington pump something in 270
Rossi break action 223
Marlin 1894 44mag
Sako A5 270
Remington semiauto 30-06
surplus SKS
H&R break 20ga
Winchester 70 (270?)
Browning bolt (cal?)
Smith 460XVR

Some cool oldies that havent been in for a number of years:
Winchester 94 in 32 Special
Winchester 1907 in 351 Win Self-Loading

Tikka T3 Lite in .308
Mossberg ATR-100 in .270
Marlin 336 30-30 (x2)
Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag
Spikes Tactical AR 16" mid-length (scoped) in .223

If you were to come around the people I hunt with, you would see a lot of Winchester, Remington, and Ruger bolt actions mostly in .270, some in .30-06, and a few in .243. Until I show up with my Stevens .308, Mauser 8mm, and my PSL in 7.62X54R.

Guys I've hunted with have used:

1 AR15, 6.8 SPC
2 Savage 11, .243 Win
1 Savage 11 (lefty), .308
1 Remington pump, .30-06
1 Remington 700, .30-06
1 Winchester 94, .30-30
1 Winchester 70, .30-06
1 Winchester 70, .270
1 Marlin bolt, .270 Win
1 Ruger No. 1, 6mm Rem
1 T/C Hawken, .50

Not a typo.
I had to look that one up too, as I have never heard of it , cool round, looks like a 30/30 shoots like a 300 savage , so you get just under 308win power in a win 94 lever gun ,,

can he still get factory ammo for that 307win. ?

every once in a while a box here or there. Shoots reloads for the most part.
good deal, I have a few that down the road will be hard to find ,like my 7mmWSM and my 25WSSM but I handload so I'll be ok ,
and ,, hey thanks, I learned something new today ,
