22-250, 223, 7mm-08. I've never purchased a centerfire rifle cartridge, come to think of it.

.458 Lott.... I had a rifle rechambered to it before it was cool. As such, there was no factory ammo, let alone factory brass.

44 Spl & 44 Mag.
I looked at the prices & thought "fergetabodit"!

When I bought my 44, the seller threw in a set of Redding dies & 150 pcs of 44mag brass.
Then I bought another 100 pcs of mag & 100 pcs of 44 Spl

The only ammo I buy ...is .22 rimfire.....

I reload ....9mm, .40S&W, .45 acp, .38 spl, .357 mag and .44 mag...
and I reload 12ga, 20ga, 28ga and .410 shotshells...

I have only been reloading for three years now. So I did buy factory ammo for all my weapons.

Since I started reloading, I have not bought a factory round except .22 LR n mag. I load 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 38/357, 44 mag & special, 30 carbine, 30-30, 30-06, .308, 7mm-08, .223, and .270 win.

I have never fired a factory round out of my .460 S&W mag though. Only hand loads for that cannon. Factory 460 rounds were $2-3 a piece...!

I was never much of a shotgun shooter so I never thought of shotshell reloading.

I did NOT save any money reloading when I added it all up. I do shoot ten to twenty times as much.

I also really enjoy making my own custom ammunition.

The only ammunition I have ever purchased is .22 RF

I usually have dies, brass, and bullets beofre I have a new caliber that uses them.

Hi I'm new to the forum but I've been reloading for 30 years. I have a 45 Long Colt, 7MM TCU and a 22-250 which have never fired a factory round. The rest of my guns have fired factory ammo at some point, but I prefer to reload for all of them.
My favorite gun to shoot is a 270 winchester with 57.9 grains of H4831SC behind a Hornady 140 grain bullet. This is not a max load per the Hodgdons Data manual, and is very accurate in my Remington Model 700.

44 Magnum.

I have been loading and casting for 44 Spl for years, so when I got the Mag, I just bought brass. Didn't even need to buy dies.

Never is a long time. Occationally I would buy factory stuff for my handguns, but very rarely (I bought a box of Blazer Brass in 45 ACP about 6 years ago when I got a new 1911). I bought a box of 38 Specials when I got my wife a new 2" .38 mebbe 5 years ago, but other than that, nuttin except 7.62x39 stuff for my SKS.

FWIW, I reload for my 5, .44 Magnums, 3, .38 Specials, 1, .357 Mag., ,2 9mm, 2, 45 ACP, 2, .223, and one 30-30. Been a few years since I reloaded anything else, I just settled on these.

My daughters Rossi single shot .223 has never seen a factory round. I'm sure any new guns that I will be getting wont ever see a factory round either.

That would be

O, yes, and 25-06 Rem as well.

I buy/collect brass for each rifle I buy and reload it accordingly. I never buy factory stuff any more. Not since the late 1980's.
