I have an xps 2 and love it! I have a .22lr Colt AR... I don't need to spend $500 on an eotech for my .22.... Are there any red dots out there with similar reticules ? I've only found dots. Thanks.

Vortex Strikefire is what I decided on for my .22 upper.

Same here.

The ~$150 Vortex Strikefire was the perfect analogue to my Aimpoint PRO to mount on my dedicated .22LR AR-15.

Thats a pretty big red dot for a .22? Is it heavy? I wish Eotech's weren't $550.... Nice... but expensive for a .22

Another plug for primary arms. There mini red dots are good. They are never in stock. I currently have a Weaver 1-3x with a primary arms $25 mount on my 15-22. It is a real nice set up. At 1x i can shoot with both eyes open just as fast as i can with my AR witha eotech. At 3x i can shoot 1" groups at 50 yards and headshot squirrels all day.

Are you referring to the Vortex Strikefire? It's a little smaller than an Aimpoint CompM3/PRO.

A dedicated .22LR AR-15 is the same size/weight as a 5.56mm AR-15 (unless it's some plastic gun like a S&W M&P15-22), so no, it's not too small for a .22. ;)

Yeah.. good point.. the colt's AR .22 is about the same as a real AR...

Which Primary Arms dot you guys like? One smaller one is out of stock...

Ended up going with the Vortex SPARC.... That way it is a nice enough dot to take off the .22 and put on whatever... Otherwise a cheapo TruGlo might get me going, I would not be able to transfer it. I was able to buy the SPARC for $180 new in box, free shipping.... I feel good about that. Thanks guys.... Maybe I will keep checking in on Primary's stock.

If you want something like the EoTech reticle, the Primary Arms 30mm Multi Reticle sight might fit the bill. It looks like an Aimpoint, but changes reticles with the twist of a knob, and one of them is pretty much the same as the EoTech reticle.

+1 for Primary Arms, I like how it's half the price of most alternatives, damn good for the money, and co-witness's perfect with my mbuis's

Just the other day I found out I had left it on lvl 4 for almost a solid week before turning it off and it's still bright! Also used it in rain and below freezing conditions and its done me well.

The Strikefire would be my 2nd choice. It is a good optic for the money, but has a 5 MOA dot. OK for close and fast, but too big. For only a little more money the SPARC has a 2 MOA dot and is my preference.

I have a Primary Arms Mini reflex II that I like besides it lacking an on/off switch. Then again its been on for over 2 months straight without any sign of dimming.

I have a little buyers remorse on the Vortex. The field of view is tiny! It's about the size of a contact lens! Hopefully I will get used to it. If you put the gun down in the patrol position, then shoulder it.... It takes a second to find the dot. I just couldn't spend $500 on an eotech for the .22. Just a little range report for interested people in the Vortex... I'm spoiled by the Eotech gov!
