I went to get My School Bus Today and This is what All the Drivers were Greeted with,plus starting Tuesday I pick up 2 Homeless Children who live in a Womens Homeless Protection Shelter with with their Mom Because Dad is a Deadbeat Abuser,with a Retsraining order..But I got my Trusty Fire Exstinguisher By My side in case he wants to take His Kids from Me..plus I got a No WEAPONS sign on My Bus Too...

Very sorry to hear about this. I'm gonna speculate until we the gun owners stand up and stop taking all the little defeats laying down it will keep happening until we have nothing but gun free zones. we the people seem to be more and more accepting of new gun laws and restrictions.

Talk to the other drivers and see if you guys can't come up with a diplomatic way to present this to the decision makers. Please stand up and fight the best that you can as I would want my bus driver armed to protect my kids if it came down to it. Good luck to you.
 
It says no weapons, not no guns. So using the fire extinguisher as a weapon must be against the rules too. As well as sharpening the sign, etc. :barf:

I would imagine you can keep your hands, feet, and head, but should the above scenario happen, don't use them as weapons. :banghead:

Simple fix. Just get a sign that says he can't do that.
 
You Know Runn You make a very good Point,I'am just the guy to do that, I will talk to the other Drivers tomorrow and Go to the next School Board Mtg.Thanks My Brother .I'm going to need some support and Knowledge in pursuing this from all you guys,I know for a fact we have some Drivers that will be appalled, My dispatcher already Knows that I carry do to my other job.. and today the subject of the signs came up she went Postal about guns being in Our area..I suggested about all the irate parents that confront her quite often face to face about Busing procedures but that did not sink in,I have been a proponent of Our garage Lounge being locked and Visitors screened before entrance quite awhile now but My supervisor doesn't get it neither...I will keep everyone posted...

How would people react to a sign that says "Please do not murder the students while on school property"?

I would imagine badly. Why would a "no guns" sign give the average anti a warm and fuzzy feeling, while a "no murder" sign makes them uncomfortable?

You don't know that those kids father is a dead beat, so don't perpetuate it as such, regardless of what you've been told, or divined on your own! As often as not, those situations are the result of a manipulative wife, and her attorney, stroking the court for sympathy, while the poor father is totally innocent of any such wrongdoing.
 
Airbrush, it bears pointing out that as a licensed concealed carrier AND bus driver, you have been subjected to multiple, thorough background investigations, right down to your parking tickets.
The state trusts you with a GUN, with access to CHILDREN, and TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars worth of district property. They trust you to make the right choice every time you approach a light, a sign, a car, or a corner. They trust those children's lives, safety and innocence to your good judgement and sense of decency every day.

Why don't they trust you now?

Bring this subject up at a company or school board meeting and you will most-likely lose your job in fairly short order. Might be wise to weigh that in the balance.
 
Great points Tex I will add them in my presentation,I also have driven severe Disabled Kids,Kids under House arrest,Kids that have been declared level one Sexual Offenders .I have had Crisis Intervention Training,I have medical training in all areas including CPR and AED but I cannot protect the most valuble thing they have against a Criminal .THEIR LIFE ..Thks Tex..
