I have a Uniflow powder measure that i have used for years and want to buy the linkage kit to make it case activated but it costs $80.00 dollars or so and i was wondering if i bought a dillon powder measure for around the same price would that be better ?

I have two of the RCBS Uniflow case activated linkages. They work well, I have one on my Pro 2000 and use one on my Redding T-7 Turret press.

I recommend you get the linkage. All you have to do is adjust the height by threading it in or out. The kit comes with a small rifle, large rifle and pistole inserts for loading all calibers. It is very universal.

The Hornady linkage is supposed to work with RCBS Uniflow measures. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/591344/hornady-case-activated-powder-drop

We tried that in another thread this summer, and I couldn't make it work, but I think somebody else did.

My advice would be the Hornady linkage, with the Hornady LnL powder measure.
It's slightly better quality, easier to adjust, holds adjustment better, and you have the advantage quick change meter inserts.

Use the universal expander from http://www.powderfunnels.com/

You can get a quick change powder die, and a quick change meter insert for every caliber you load.
