None. Anyone who wasn't prepared before all this went down should take their crystal ball in for service. The writing has been on the wall since election season '08.

I voted 22LR, but only because it is my most-commonly fired round, not because I don't have any. What I do have would be used up in probably three or four more range sessions, maybe even fewer because I have less centerfire stuff as well, so I'd probably be shooting a higher ratio of rimfire-to-centerfire than I usually do.

I've also recently acquired two new .22 handguns that are really enjoyable for me to shoot, and want to fire them some more. One is a revolver (and a single-action one at that), so it will run cheap stuff, and take longer to do so.

But, my Ruger/Tapco 1022 will go through my more-expensive MiniMags a lot faster, as will my other rimfire handguns.
I pretty much agree with this. I have been acquiring, and don't really have to shoot less, though the RATE of replenishment has decreased... But, as to the poll, I would say that the shortage of 22LR is the most ANNOYING because I shoot more of it than other rounds, and because it is probably the most common round for plinking, and introducing new shooters, and running in the 22LR understudies to the full-size firearms, and just for being all-around versatile. Probably impacts more people than any other. I've seen folks not be able to take their children to the range with a box of 22LR, or not be able to introduce a new shooter with 22LR, etc, etc. That kind of impact ANNOYS me a lot.

For themselves, yes, totally agree. But seeing the impact on new and young shooters is really sad. Now is a bad time to be coming of age and/or getting into shooting.

I agree RFMan I feel sorry for new shooters. I'm pretty good for ammo I would like to have some more 5.56 green tip but I'm not sweating it.

Down to 1000 .22 LR, and with 60-90 rounds per week at bullseye league and another 100/month for the 2700 match, they better start putting out more soon.

It doesn't help that my high standard only likes federal 711b.

Not necessarily angst, more annoyance than anything
I have always maintained a large inventory of all calibers I own, and then would rotate-stock and replenish as I shoot them, so lately I have been stuck shooting alot of .45 and
burning thru alot of .243 which I can easily reload, But I have a couple .22's that I like to plink with a couple times a week, and there is nothing on the shelf to replenish those with, and I'll be dammed if Im gonna pay $20 for a box of 100 rimfires,
So my vote would be for 22LR I guess

During the summer of '08 I thought of the consecquences of this Marxist/socialist being elected. Just so happened to see a weekly special sandwhich board sign outside of my favorite mom & pop sport shoppe advertising a .22lr sale. I went in and found they were offering the 400 count American Eagle 22lr for 9.00. I'll not say how many K of them I bought but, I didn't clean em out. As few days passed I found the Federal 525 count bulk pac for 14.00 and again pick up several K. This is when I stocked up on all my reloading components that should last my life time.
As I used them up I replaced them so my inventory has not diminished. Early to late this August I saw my .22 mag numbers kinda getting low so I picked a few K of them here and there as well.
Sure enough, Sandy Hook took place and the shelves went bare. I'm not thumbing my nose but, I'm set.

22LR. I reload for most everything else, but (typically) picked up a little 22LR on a regular basis to hold my total round count of 22LR at 2000-3000. I have been shooting without replacement for the better part of two months, and can see a time in the further out future where my supply will run out.

In the future, I plan on stocking in enough for at least 2 years for ALL calibers that I shoot.

9MM for me (never can shoot my AR's anyways)
after that it would be 7.62x39, 5.56, & .22LR although the 22's are coming in pretty good here.

I would have to go with E) None of the above. I am still in very good shape in terms of my ammunition supply having stocked up on everything I needed long before the first ammo shortage crisis several years ago. In these uncertain times, first and foremost, be prepared.

I'm pretty well set for years, in everything I shoot. Almost tempted to offload some .22 LR with the going rates. :)

22lr. I reload for everything else and am pretty well stocked. (actually I am ok right now on 22, but might not be in 6 months)

I am a bit low on 38. I don't really shoot much 38, but I'm down to 100 or so. I had been using Speer 158gr LSWC but ran out. I need to work up a load for the bullets I have as a replacement. And I have plenty of 5.56, but am low on coyote and match ammo in 223.

Although I am pretty well stocked on everything, I'd still like to have more. But at these prices, that won't happen. What I'd really like to have is more primers.

I guess I get a little bemused when I read about people moaning about the price of ammunition and then quote the prices they are forced to pay.

I look a that sort of price and all I think is "Gee, I wish ammo was that cheap here!"

I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

The ammunition listed here are on "SALE".

All the prices for ammunition on this page is for boxes of 20 rounds unless otherwise stated!!

It's a bit of an eye opener.

Agreed, it's really sad seeing my nephew cutting back on his shooting, he's 11 now, and has been an avid shooter since he was 8, i described the previous ammo shortage to him and he was skeptical, no way could it have been that bad.....

....now he knows, I wasn't lying, and this shortage is worse.....

however, even out of the bad times comes good, he now sees the importance of having a decent stash (he always wondered why I was so frugal with my ammo stash, wanting to shoot as much as possible every range session), and has started his own stash, back when he could buy .22 ammo, he would buy two boxes, shoot one, store one, sadly, the shortage hit just after he started his S-O-S-O strategy

He has also learned the importance of a backup plan, pellets and BB's are still widely available and trigger time is trigger time no matter what's being shot, his Red Ryder may not be as accurate as his Ithaca 49, or my Stevens 414 Short he covets, but it's better than not shooting

He also learned the importance of being able to load your own, I've taught him how to load for my .30-06, my .44-40, 20 gauge and his own 28 gauge, we were able to set him up with his own MEC Jr 28G press, a brick of Winchester 209's, wads, propellant and a bag of #8 lead shot for Christmas.....

Same Here = Not experiencing any caliber angst (so I couldn't vote) ..... and I also have my own shooting range (backyard range).

:)

I cannot find any .38 SPL practice ammunition. There is some 125 gr Gold Dot +P at Sports World in Tulsa, but I'm not plinking at $1.25 a round. I have not seen any .357 Mag of any sort. I have enough of both for qualification training this year without reloading, but I won't have any to train any one else.

Gonna have to reload a bunch of LSWC to train some friends of my daughters and my grandkids.
