It looks like glockmeister is going to be selling some gen 3 and gen 4 OD glocks tomorrow starting at 11 am (AZ time).

I've always wanted one, but I've never been willing to pay the premium. If these are a reasonable price, I might try to scoop one up. Thoughts?

Just never did "get" the aesthetics (or lack thereof) of having a black slide/barrel with a doo-doo brown frame. Hit's befuddling!

Too much into suits. Black and brown do not go together.

Everything goes with black. What about brown wood on blue/black metal guns. That is about as traditional as it gets.

I have an OD G-19. I like the 2 tone look, but didn't pay any more than a solid black model when I bought mine. I might pay a little more, but not significantly more if I had the option again.

Gunny approved!

And here, I always thought OD was a shade of green because of the "olive" in the name.

They look more like the Army's older OD fatigues after you washed them enough times. :D I kind of miss those old uniforms.....the new camo is too busy.

I think you are right that the 29 is OD. Looking on google it appears cameras are missing the olive part.

However, I was not wrong about brown and black. Fantastic on wood and black, yep. Can't think of anything else. You don't wear that color brown shoes or belt with a black suit. It looks ugly.

Desert tan...now that would be a seller. Walther did a few P99's in Desert Sand that look amazing.

DYI ... thing I remember seeing ... possibly even here. Was to use Yo yo ( as in the toy connected to a string ) dye. Possibly stripping your glock down completely to the frame. And suspending the frame in a bucket of the stuff might get you some pretty cool unique effects, even OD green. Not sure if this will ruin or damage the frame. Just my 2 cents ...

EDIT: Saw some stuff on youtube about this very process, but not sure if I can post them here.
