Is it dumb to pay this much for od glock

^ Sort of... Duracoat is like $30 for the kit. But since it's effectively paint, it will wear, eventually, where the Glock won't (since the color is in the polymer).

3 or 4 years ago i could get an OD glock for 25-30 dollars less than a black one at one of the guns stores i visit because they weren't selling as well. Now they have quit making them and they are 150 to 200 dollars more.I like both the black and OD but an RTF2 is my favorite of all the glocks.

Who knows, they'll probably start making the OD Glocks again and prices will drop to normal, then you'll have a $499 Glock that you paid $700 for :cuss:

$200 is a lot for a different color of plastic :)

Paying 30% more for a pair of pants..... no. Paying 30% more for something that can save your life AND in the color you want, why not? That's a pretty steep price however.

For that price it better come with a laser or at least proper Glock night sights. If not, then it's just another Glock for way too much money. It shouldn't be more than $20-50 above the normal price. Keep in mind that if you run into any kind of financial problems and have to sell it you'll likely end up taking a huge hit on it.

Totally agree with RAMI. If it is NIB and had the night sights and maybe a laser or light I might consider it. Otherwise no way.

I started collecting OD Green glocks about a year before they discontinued them and the price went sky high.

I have 3/4 of the od green they made but they are just too expensive to continue that little collection.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I've been wanting an od glock for a while as well as the model 33. I was going to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. I decided not to pay that premium price for an od. I'm going to wait on my lgs to get a 33 and pay 499+tax. I'll also get some trijis, but I'm still coming out cheaper.
