I have uncovered a pearl of wisdom while on the Starbucks Facebook page, the relentless assault by the "Occupy the NRA people"... When I came across this pearl of wisdom, which left me speechless...

WOW

...and antique rifles shoot antiques...

Couldn't resist.

Wow now I'm really confused...and by the way does anyone know on a rifle which end the bullet thingy comes out of?

I was laughing so hard coffee came out my nose, and I lost control of my tactical wheelbarrow, dumping ammo all over the yard....

Nice to have some levity on THR! Ignorance, however, is never funny. Ignorance leads to fear, which of course results in the Dark Side.

Good point. Have you ever seen the label above the exhaust port on a jet ski? Likely not appropriate for THR, but it's FUNNY because some moron must have done it and sued, lawyers descended (all deference to the counselors amongst us) and the label ensued...

I have a feeling some of the crazy warning labels you see on products are because of people like that Mr. Norman.

Nope, those labels are because those stupid folks had lawyers who sued........and won

Remember the idiot woman at Mickey D's and the hot coffee debacle?

Guys, the commenter was being sarcastic. He was ridiculing the use of the term "sporting rifle" instead of "assault rifle".

He may very well be stupid (he certainly is misguided) but his comment was actually somewhat clever.

A little off topic but there was a lot more to that than just spilling coffee. We studied that case in Torts class.

- The temperature was about 50 degrees hotter than the manufacturer recommended.
- There had been hundreds of complaints with no action taken
- The lady suffered 3rd degree burns to her pelvic region and spent 8 days in the hospital having skin grafts done. This was followed by over 2 years of follow up treatment. I've spilt coffee on my own lap before. I didn't require medical attention.
- She offered to settle out of court for $20k and McDonalds refused

They got what they deserved.

After Tommygun's post 7, I figure I'd better get the hell off this thread. But I can't resist...

....and Tommyguns shoot what?

Me go now. Fast. Running. Not looking back. Zig-zagging.
