I'm currently without an 1860, but I did own three at one time not so long ago. Lost them in the midst of my divorce preceedings. So I guess I'm more of an alumni. When I'm finished with alimony in a couple months, You can bet I will be getting a few back.

In the meantime- Here are some pics of what I had; Real deal 1860 Springfield Armory refurbished US marked for the Indian Wars with holster, Pietta made Avenging Angel, and a stainless ASM.

That's a nice display. I know the gun laws in the UK are a lot different from the United States.

Are you allowed to keep that cased pistol at your home, or must it be secured somewhere else?

Do you shoot it, or is it just for display?

I am in. Three Ubertis, the standard '51 is a Pietta with a grip change.
Both the Navies happen to be loaded today.

Yessir, all 6 loaded with 30 grains of FFF and a .454 RB on top of unlubed wads. All 6 are capped and hammer resting in between. That one is my bedside gun. I was wondering when someone would notice, and I'm sure I'll be told it's unsafe, but it's my gun, my house, and that 1860 and I get along real well.

Here's my Pietta 1851 Navy. Not the best picture of it but everyone knows what they look like, at least this shows they can shoot!

I found another picture of a couple of my revolvers... a Colt 3rd Model Dragoon and a Colt 1851 Navy.

Trouble is the pictures are on the Unofficial Walker/ Dragoon LRE Club page #5, posts #109 and #110.

Yes, I am allowed to keep this at home in a gun safe, and yes I shoot it regularly at a local range. In the summer I take part in ACW and western re-enactment and fire blank charges in displays

Here's a few more, including an 1861.

Here's my 1851 Navy 36 cal. Pietta. My first cap 'n' ball revolver. Shooting 16 grs. fffg lubed felt wad and 36 cal. RB. Shows surprisingly accuracy @ 25 yds.
