i stopped counting after 6000 rounds through my hi-point, but i still have not had a failure of any kind. i DO have an issue with the charging handle bolt becoming loose. it usually needs to be tightened every 200 rounds or so. i have not had an issue with any ofther hardware coming loose.

my rings are actually regular size 22 rings. i just filed them down till they were small enough to clamp tight to the rail.

i installed the microclick snapsights (front and rear peep) on my M38. and i have to say they are outstanding sights. they line up quickly and are easy to use. once you try them you'll never wanna go back to the stock sights.

any common gun oil would be fine i think.

why not just use some regular oil and then vacuume seal the whole firearm ??
