Anyone else going back to the 9mm??

I went from 40 back to 9mm. The 9mm is a pleasure to shoot, higher capacity, and any defensive ammo is sufficient.

    WSM Calibers

The 300 WSM is generally popular, as you can find them at your local gun store, and many manufacturers offer at least one gun chambered in this round. However, 7mm WSM is pretty popular among long range shooters who generally reload their own ammo. Although 7mm WSM almost ballistically...

Looking to get a new bolt action

Brownings are nice rifles. However, if you plan on rebarreling in the future, then I would recommend against it. Removing the barrel will irreparably damage the receiver. Most gunsmiths cannot do it. Weatherby is an excellent choice.

    Sako 85 prices?

expensive, but worth it I think they are definitely worth the price. They are very well made, with exceptional triggers. If you want a cheaper alternative, try Tikka. Again, a very well made rifle. I don't know why they are so cheap!

Winchester making 7mm WSM rifles again.......

I think the 300 WSM is the most popular of the lot. Americans seem to love their 30 cals. I think the 7 and 325 are experiencing a come back. Savage has a couple of 325s, and a lot of the F-class guys are moving to 7. Only time will tell. I will probably order the Winchester Coyote...

Winchester making 7mm WSM rifles again.......

Winchester making 7mm WSM rifles again. I am tired of no factory 7mm WSM rifles (except Browning). I can't wait until they hit the market.

    longe range target rifle

I agree, 338 LM is a horrible starter cartridge. Although 6.5 is great and my all time favorite bullet, you might want to start off with something more common. Like a 308. Do you plan on reloading? If so, then 6.5 should be fine, but if not, you should consider getting into it. Moreover...

    6.5x55mm rifles vs. 7.62x54mmR rifles - compare?

Go with the 6.5x55. 6.5mm bullets are popular and very accurate. These things are also extremely accurate. Again, as previously mentioned, 6.5x55 rifles are still in production. On a side note, I just picked up a Ruger No. 1 in 6.5x55. It is a beautiful and accurate rifle.

    Great News out of Australia!

They have been trying to restart importation for a while. I did not see anything on their website about a solid timetable. There are already a few of the 7.62x39 models in the USA. I like the 308 sniper/version.

    10 round 1911 mags--Do they run?

I run Wilson mags exclusively. I have seen most others fail. If you are looking for an alternative, you might want to try: http://www.trippresearch.com/ But they are expensive.
