The first half a dozen or so times field stripping my 2009 MK9 Elite was a little... awkward at best but now it's a breeze. The "OK grip" works pretty well IMO.

My 1995ish era P13.45 was reliable as all hell out of the box. Zero jams in the 1500 or so rds I was lucky enough to put through her before selling. Selling it still stings to this day. I loved that thing. Still haven't forgiven myself for it.

Get used to the trigger by shooting it more. That's all it took for me to get good accuracy out of mine.

I think Kydex is easier to wear IWB. Less noisy. Easier draw/reholstering due to less friction. I also think Leather wears the finish more. I like and use both though.

It is state specific... I worked retail many many moons ago and talked with the few LP guys on the subject. In Nevada, (check your own state laws, don't listen to me...) when Lp stops and detains you, it is in effect a citizen's arrest. They actually had to physically witness you stealing...

IMO a blowback might not be the best choice. They seem to have more felt recoil than locked breech pistols and some women have a harder time racking the slide. As is said in all these types of threads... take her to the gunshop and let her hold a few to see what she's comfy with. My GF never...

Pique polo shirts work well for me... even with a 228. extreme or FBI cant IWB holsters are a must. A real gunbelt. Wildnerness works wonders. and as mentioned previously... don't mess with it constantly... if it's shifting all the time you need a better belt. Attitude is alot...
