I ordered a set of "Secret Service" grips for an older S&W Model 38. Had to send them back twice because they were too big. I told them that I was getting tired of paying postage to ship them back and forth, no response. They finally got it right, but no gee we're sorry for the inconvenience.

Best of Both Worlds.. You can get a S&W Model 649 and you'll have a shrouded hammer. I have two of them and couldn't be happier.:)

mykeal, you got it right! It is a CVA Pocket Police, 36 caliber. 5 1/2" round barrel with fluted cylinder. It does have a brass frame and under the loading lever it says "ASM Black Powder Only, Made in Italy". Thanks guys! Love shooting them, but hate cleaning them...
