These seemed to be everywhere and getting good reviews and now nothing. Are these still being imported?

I'm a regular on a CZ forum with a strong clone community. I haven't heard of any slow down. In addition to Canik, look for Sarsilmaz. Their double stack 45 is a beast.

I had a TriStar C-100 in .40 that was great; it was actually listed and printed on the gun as "Canik/TriStar".
I guess the question is "what's the difference?"

Ok, I'll look some more. I'm seeing Tristar on gunbroker, but its harder to find them in stock at major online retailers like AIM, Bud's, etc.

I just got one from CDNN for a great price, $369.95. I haven't shot it yet.

Tristar is the importer, Canik is the manufacturer.

Academy Sports still sells several types as do a half dozen online retailers.

Tristar is the US importer for Canik. Just as EAA is the importer for Sarsilmaz and Tanfoglio. The "big boys" have subsidiaries that do this so they don't have different names.
