headoftheholler

Totally awesome craftsmanship! Every aspect of that rifle is fantastic; especially the work you did with that stunning piece of marbled English Walnut. Thanks for sharing it with us.

RC quote: "On the other hand, headofthehollar may in fact be Paul Jaeger incarnate in another life???

RC, that thought process is a little too deep for me. I have enough trouble thinking about the hereafter rather than thinking about the hereafter come back again! Some lucky individuals have a gift of skills that is far beyond what any of us can do. On the other hand, if God could give Paul Jaeger a gift of skill like that he may well be able to bring it back again in another person. The gift of skill reminds me of a woman named Judith Durham who is the lead singer for The Seekers, a singing group that began back in the 1960's. That woman has a voice that is beyond reality. Where it came from no one knows but we can appreciate and awe at the result.

Very nice! Not too many people will take the time or have the craftsmanship to do what you did. BTW did you weld on a new bolt handle?

1st class. For a moment there I was stumped with the beautiful steel butplate "recoil pad" but then I remembered its a 243 .. all good. Congrats on a great project.
