I have the case feeder and works great. The only problem is when the cases are getting pushed into station 1, they fall over. This only happens about 1 or 2 out of 10 cases. Ive tried slow and fast operation and both have no effect on the problem. I havent messed with anything as the shell plate came attached from dillon.

I would bet it's dropping the cases too soon. You might need to flip that ramp around or adjust it so that the cases are dropped later on in the upstroke.

No, the case insert slide is oriented properly for 223 rifle cases.

Shine a light and read what number is stamped on the station 1 locator. Should say #3.

I had the locator pins out because i was picking out the brass as it was indexing to station 4 so they wouldnt be crimped in 5. I took the locator out and polished a little and hit it with some case lube. so far so good. There was a slight raised place on the rail that might have been doing it. It could also be the cases themselves as they are ran thruogh an ar15 and we all know how rugh they are. some of the cases might have had a bur on the case head.

You shouldn't be afraid of changing things in the toolhead (the plate that holds the dies). Back out or remove whatever die you have in station 5, leave all of the locator pins in place, and use the press normally.

I'd start by adjusting the ramp for the case feeder cam on the top of the press. On my XL650 I will set this visually before putting the case feed tube back on. To get it adjusted properly I want it to line up the cam with the appropriate polymer bushing perfectly centered in the lower corresponding aluminum bushing. To do this move the ramp block back and forth until you get the actuation perfectly centered when the press is operated. Misalignment will give too little or too much movement and since the rifle side of the ramp is steeper, resulting in faster actuation it has to be more precisely aligned in order to properly feed the brass into the case slide/guide on the shell plate.

If that doesn't work a call to Dillon is in order.
