Acera - I use nfatracker but it's only good for getting an idea of time frames. It's a small percentage of people's experience. Like you said some people on there are getting approvals from April submissions where as our local shop is just starting to see March. Don't know if there's a difference in location or what makes them different but the NFAtracker isn't anything to bank on in my experience. (Although I do enjoy the site and check it every few months or so).

I agree somewhat with what you are saying. There does not seem to be any consistent way to get an exact date on anything with the BATFE.

My point is it is probably a lot more representative than just what a guy at a single gun shop says.

Got my stamps today!!! Now playing with two Element 2's and a Tyrant45M. Woo hoo!!!

Probably take another year for the other two and then who knows how long for the Hybrid.

THR is not the only site to go through a change recently, NFATracker is totally different now..................
Today is the first time I have been on the tracker in a few weeks. That was a little bit shocking.

NFA Tracker is showing 7-8 months for Trust Form 4 transfers and has been holding steady there for about a month.

Hopefully that means that my APR 12 sent / APR 19 cashed Osprey 45 will happen around the start of December.

Side note:
I'm not happy with the changes at NFA Tracker. The scatter graphs are nearly unusable now, and the spreadsheet was a great tool.

They are posting that the spreadsheet will be returning. I hope so, it is just about worthless to me now without it. The sooner it gets back, the better.

I see no reason to update my items on the site if I don't want to use it anymore.

I just got a Form 1 back this past week for a SBS (14" 870). I submitted the form mid May. I also submitted Form 1s late May and late June. Does anyone have or know who sells affordable 14" parkerized rifle sight barrels. The cheapest I can find is $175.

One another note, has anyone submitted Form 1 paperwork under the post 41F rule?

When I was looking into it, Botach had them.

NFA Trackers spreadsheet is back and working.

Very similar to the old one.

Only issue is you have to log in to view it.

For those that have an account there, after logging in click the 'All Transfers' tab.

Called the NFA branch yesterday to check up on my Osprey 45...

Sent 13 APR 16
Cashed 20 APR 16
Pending 22 APR 16
Approved Not Yet

Im seeing approvals from 12 APR 16 on NFA tracker. Hopefully I get my can soon.

The more calls they get the longer it takes.
Unless you're a lot past the average I would just be patient.

Everything I've heard is that they've got a dedicated phone talker, so calls don't hold up anyone assigned to form reviews.

This is the first time in 7 stamps (4 approved) that I've called. Plus, I get to be antsy on this one... I expected it to be my Christmas present to myself back in January when I bought it.

Purchased Jan 28 & submitted paperwork. Check cashed Mar 22.. Approved Oct 26. Received Nov 10. And I thought I had beaten the rush. Another guy at work bought his Hybrid on the same day, submitted same time, and got his 3 weeks earlier than I did.
Bought a third on three weeks after the first set this year. One might think - ah, 3 weeks after the last was received.. Well, I checked Wednesday, and it was still pending. It's actually getting longer if this is the way it's working for most.
I believe that when the great influx of forms came in just prior to July 13th, the ATF stopped processing current forms, and worked diligently to input the forms and, yep, cash those checks.. Pretty sure that the system is pretty clogged; and if your forms are received later, well, the best thing to do is to forget about it, and be surprised when it does come in. If you bought after the July 13th deadline, I'd be betting on the 1 year plus..

My last 2 e-filed form 1 stamps;

filed 3/17 ..... arrived 8/30
filed 5/20 ..... arrived 11/21

WooHoo, I e-filed on on 5/24. Hopefully I am close !

(Now this excited almost Christmas Eve anticipation will fade if it does not come in this week and I will be back to my normal glass half empty self.............)

Picked up my last two suppressors last week. 7 months and 18 days from the time the check was cashed to when my dealer received my tax stamps.

When I was in his office, however, a new stamp arrived that was over 11 months. :what:

Got one yesterday after a 6 month wait.

Finally.

However I am not sure my July submissions will be as 'quick', LOL.
