CZ75D Compact

I believe these came in sometime in 2015 with a bunch of other surplus Israeli guns (including Hi Powers, Jerichos and full size CZ-75s). Aim Surplus and a few other of the C&R sellers appear to have had them. I don't think there were a whole lot of CZs in the bunch compared to the larger number of Hi Powers.

I saw it when AIM had the Hi-Powers, and there were some great guns in that lot. I missed seeing any CZs or Jerichos, but I don't look at AIM as much as I used to.

Very cool pistol. I have an alloy frame PCR and am still feeling it out, not quite in love with it yet.

Besides VZ grips there are also some custom wood grip options available from CZ.

I missed them too. I would have jumped on a steel frame Compact with a decocker. That would be a great range gun to save wear and tear on my PCR's alloy frame.

The desire for a CZ 75 P-01 has started to seep into my brain and I can't get it out......and I'm not a pistol guy

I bought a couple of CZ75 clones, a SAR B6 and B6P compact. I really like both of these guns a thought about buying a CZ75, but haven't decided which one to buy. I like both the full size and the compact.

After thinking about it for... Oh... 20 years or so, I finally bought my first CZ.
A 99 production Israeli police issued 75D Compact.
I have to say, I should have picked up a CZ a couple of decades ago. View attachment 229030Now for some grips, sights, springs, and a mainspring plug with lanyard loop to replace the lanyard ring on the mainspring pin.

Is the import mark C.A.I. On that?

Once you spend some time with one, I suspect you'll love it. I don't think you'll find a better shooting handgun for the money. After some trigger work, the single action trigger on my full size and my compact, are equal to my best 1911 triggers... and neither one of my CZs has ever failed to function. I think they're a great handgun.

My fist CZ was a compact 75. I got it along time ago with one 10 rounder and two 14 rounders. Next an 85 Combat, next a dedicated Kadet, next a 75 B full size and finally the PO1. Many extra mags later and I throw one or two CZ's in my range bag and the fun begins! You may be hooked.

It's an addiction for sure.

First I got a full size 75B 9mm, then a Kadet 22LR conversion, next was a CZ-40B. Somewhere after that I picked up a CZ-70, CZ-52 and CZ-82. After that I got another full size CZ-75B, this time chambered in 40 S&W, and finally the 9mm PCR a few years ago. A P-01 is at the top of my want list now.

I can quit anytime I want though.

I would be all over that if I could just find one!

I know. It took me quite some time before I found a gun shop some two hours away from where I lived that carried CZs. I asked the sales clerk how was it they had so many when nobody else carried them. He said it was because he did all the handgun ordering and he really liked CZs too!

Ha, you're not fooling any of us! You know you want the P01; just give into the power of the CZ!

THAT'S NO P01!
Says so right on the slide!

I jest, I grabbed one of those 75D Compacts with an alloy frame and rail too. P01 just is less of a mouthful.

Speaking of CZ addictions, I started with a 75B SA, then a P07, then sold that and bought the aforementioned "P01" I might add a Kadet, but I think I'll stop there.

Maybe a 97, but I'll stop there for sure.

Except maybe a P01 Omega...
