How close are the 30 carbine and 327 Federal Magnum?

the 357 mag is no 30-30, no matter how you load it. first and formost the bullet shapes favor the 30-30 for higher velocity retention at longer rangers. will the .327 and the. 357 kill deer, yes I have done it myself with the .357 with picking your shots and ranges to the deer. and to compare a 32-20 load out of a weak marlin 27s, I have a Winchester 92 rifle(24" barrel) that will kick a 100gr bullet at 2200fps with no pressure. eastbank.

I don't get the .357 magnum and .30-30 comparisons? What are you saying with that in relation to the .327 Federal vs. .32-20 argument?

look at posts 18-19-21 for the 357-30-30 comparisons. to me the 32-20 will do any thing the 30 carbine and the .327 will do. this in no way means you should not get one if you want one. eastbank.

I would cation others about gambling on the 327 not keeping up with accuracy or performance of the 32-20.
