Last year I read a great arytppticle in Guns Of The Old West about unlimited mods done to these 2 guys Fixed Sight Single Sixes
Included were custom trigger work custom Barrels and throating and crowning
Had to be .22lr only must have fixed sights all the tricks, new springs and everything Barrels 4" long

The test proved only 1 winner but I forgot the rest!!!
That article fascinated me!

Any builder could be used if I remember--costs were around 2k plus gun cost.
Anyone remember the article?

4" SS's have always have been my favorites
Funny, I bought a 6" for myself cause I like adjustable sights on my long Barrels!
My decades old 6" convertable is a tackdriver!
It loves WMR Hp's.

In, I think, 2006, I published a piece on what Clements did to my fixed-sight SS.
New barrel, Taylor throating, bird's-head grip, custom panels, etc.
Back then slightly under $1000 for the project.

Denis yep that sounds like one of the revolvers!
What a cool revolver it must be!
I have long dreamt of just such a mod to my Single Six but alas, disabilitys and a fixed income burst that bubble.
I see that a very basic modelnis being offered ,can' t rem Berry who though. Basic short bbl and Birdshead grip, however it is offered with a 22WMR cylinder... boy I bet your custom SS is a dream to shoot
Be safe,
Dave

It IS a very neat little gun, has both cylinders & a crossdraw holster.
He did a great job on it.
