Has anyone used SW Match Rifle Powder (Lovex D073-06) in their .308 AR? Burn rate is equivalent to IMR4064 which is my current .308 powder and Match Rifle is very good in my M1 Garand so I would expect it to do as well in the AR platform.

Thanks for any help offered.

IMR 4064 is my go-to rifle powder for all my center fire rifles, .223, .243, .270, .308, 30-06, and a couple 30-30's. I got fed up trying this powder and that powder to gain a nickle worth of velocity. I have been loading all my ammo since 1972. hdbiker

I just unpacked a keg and change of Lovex D073-06 destined for .223 Heavies, and my M1 Garands. It'll be a while before I know much. . .

Shooters World Match Rifle, D073-06, is a ball powder like CFE223, 4064 is extruded. Their more expensive S062, aka Precision Rifle, is extruded like 4064.,

I looked at the reloading manual, the fact they reference the powder to be like AA2520, makes me think it is AA2520. I had/have a keg of AA2520 made in Czechoslovakia. When I talked to Accurate Arms about AA2520, they told me AA2520 was blended to have an identical pressure to IMR 4895. And, based on charge weight and velocity, I can't tell the difference over a chronograph.

I looked at the reloading manual, and I would try 42.5 grains with a 150 before I approached their minimum values.

It's old AA powders. Some slight changes. I use it in commercial reloading. They also sell some powders to me they dont sell to the public. Those get direct references from old AA powders. I also work up and use quickload accordingly. I can't ever seem to hit advertised velocity with S.W. powder. But then again I struggle with that no matter the manufacturer.
