What Was the Smallest and Thinnest 9mm DA/SA Semi-Auto?

Awful lot of striker-fireds being brought up in a thread specifically asking about DA/SA hammer-fireds.
It's a reading comprehension thing. I find it common these days.

I would myself like to see an all-steel, micro-sized, hammer-fired (DA/SA) 9mm handgun.
I'm with you. I would like something on par with the Sig 938 in DA/SA. I just can't warm up to carrying cocked and locked.

Where is the hammer? Which model do they offer that's DA/SA as was stated in the title line of this post?

I had a DB-9. Smallest 9 MM I ever saw but don't recall if it had a hammer or striker fired.

The DB9 is very small and lightweight (11oz.), but unfortunately it's striker fired.

I think tarosean has it right with the Detonics Pocket Nine.

I have pretty much owned every thing over the years and have settled on these , as my son and daughter in law have also, mine is .40 but same size as 9mm and the kids use 9mm and they all take same holsters . I used a Shield before this and tried a PICO and Sig 938 for a while but at less than $400 , the superior Walther PPS won my heart. None of us like the M2 version tho....

I have a polymer CZ75 compact "clone" that's almost as small as my Glock 43. I think it's thinner than my Glock 26. IIRC, the "Rami" is the same size. They're not the smallest ever, but they're pretty small, currently available, and relatively inexpensive.

From another thread on the forum:
“Detonics” https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/detonics.853735/

(From my measurements)
Detonics Pocket 9 —
Height = 4.2”
Length = 5.9”
Width = 1.15” (widest at grips)
Weight with empty mag = 27.9 oz
Weight w/o mag = 25.9 oz

(From Whichgun.com; & I have a CS40 which is slightly larger than the CS9)
Smith & Wesson Chiefs Special CS9 —
Height: 4.9″
Length: 6.3″
Width: 1.26”
Weight: 20.8 oz (without mag)
Trigger: DA/SA

(From Whichgun.com; this is an odd striker-fired design; load one in the chamber, the first trigger pull releases the striker as SA & if the cartridge doesn’t fire, the second trigger pull will both cock and release the striker as DA; I had one of these but sold or traded it for something else - so little money, so many guns)
Taurus 709 Slim —
Height: 4.5″
Length: 6.2″
Weight: 17.0 oz
Width: 1.02″
Trigger: SA/DA

All of the other handguns which come to mind are SA - all the 1911 designs and a couple others; not DA/SA.

I'll add this as a follow-up thought. I sure wish there was something roughly the size of the Sig 938 in DA/SA on the market today.

the SA XDe is a tad bigger, there is pic up on top, I finally traded mine, the trigger reach was too long for me, and I have medium size hands, I was carrying it C&L, but I rather carry a 1911 then
