Would you carry this holster?

Seems like it's designed to allow a finger on trigger draw, made safe by traditional DA long heavy triggers and the retention strap preventing an ND while holstered.

In fact, that thumb snap puts your thumb in prime position to cock on the draw and put out lead the second you clear leather.

I'd probably prefer a conventional guard covering holster for normal use but I'd be fine with it. I'd prefer it under a duster, looking for trouble, that'd be a great holster in such an application (or perhaps imagining such at the local cowboy range)

All my revolver holsters leave the trigger guard exposed, wouldn't care to have them otherwise. Haven't carried a revolver concealed for a number of years now, but for over twenty years I did, and never had an issue. I do greatly prefer to have the entire barrel and front sight of the gun enclosed in the rig. My favorite carry revolver was a 3" S&W model 66 with a round grip. I always carried it in a Bianchi 5BHL thumb snap rig. Always secure, and very quick access when needed.

I'd use that holster with the correct size revolver. That gun is too big for that holster. A DA revolver really doesn't need the same holster that s modern striker fired pistol does.

That holster was obviously made for a gun with a shorter barrel. I wouldnt carry that gun in that holster, but do what ever you want.

As far as the exposed trigger guard, it was a "style" of holster, for a long time, before the PC police came along and said it wasnt safe.

El Paso Saddlery (and a few others) has a bunch of nice ones, and youll pay to get one too ......

Would not. Specifically look for holsters which completely cover the trigger. Every time.

Yet still another "NO" vote on that holster with that gun. Besides the exposed trigger and barrel the holster itself looks way too flimsy and unsuited for that revolver.
