“By being a Second Amendment Sanctuary County, the citizens would follow the laws that are deemed constitutional, given and set by the county.” ibid
The problem is, there’s nothing ‘un-Constitutional’ about ‘red flag’ laws.
Only the courts have the authority to determine whether laws are Constitutional or not, not county governments.
And yes, it’s understood that ‘Second Amendment sanctuary county’ is about the politics of firearm regulatory policy, not the law – but this sort of nonsense nonetheless reflects poorly on the gun-owning community, and those who work in earnest to protect our rights and protected liberties pursuant to Second Amendment case law.
just my opinion but I don’t think it’s nonsense and I don’t think it reflects poorly on the gun owning community.
