Lately ive been looking into a high capacity .45 acp handgun. Not big on the glocks but my search has lead me to the taurus pt 24/7 oss ds45. 12+1 capacity, novak sights, iv heard its a sa/da trigger with a decocker. It all sounds pretty decent, but id imagine theres got to be a catch. Is this pistol reall as good as it sounds? I heard the ruger p95dc was a solid gun and it jammed every third magazine no matter what ammo or how much i cleaned it, and im very tedious about cleaning my handguns. I dont want to end uo buying a gun that isnt worth my time nor effort to make decently operable. And if the taurus pt 24/7 isnt is, then what are some good full size high capacity .45 acp handguns out there for a reasonable (under $500) price?

I'd look at the Springfield xd mod 2 in 45. Great gun in every way. Sold all the Taurus I had, I'm sure the 24/7 will work fine but I will never go back to owning a gun made by them.

I EDC a Walther PPQ M2 .45. Fantastic pistol with the best trigger you can imagine. I've never had any kind of failure with mine. Still under $500 at buds.

If by hicap you mean double stack you could get a Police Trade M&P 1.0 .45 ACP and if you don't like the trigger pull an Apex kit would fix it right up.

It is just 10+1 though.
