i have a couple questions for ya guys.

i was looking into getting a 45 acp. i have always liked the looks of the EAA witness match, and the desert baby eagle. then along came the new taurus 24/7 OSS tactical. i really like my taurus pt 92, so i looked into the 24/7, but i cant seem to find anyone with one for sale. i love the look of the eaa witness match, but i cant find any info other than whats on their website. i love the desert eagle, but i dont have enough money. i hyave only held a baby eagle in 9mm, and thought it was pretty well ballanced out.

what do you guys think about these three particular pistols. the only one that i think is out of the compitition is the baby eagle, because i think it only comes oin a compact version. i am looking for a full size gun. thanks guys, brian

shootin........................................................................yup....shootin..... noo. its going to be for shootin paper, logs, other things that fall over when shoot., oh, and maybe self defence? i live in illinois, so i cant carry... legally...

just lookin for somthing thats going to work when its soposed to.

The EAA Witness Match is a very good gun for the $450-500 they run. They are SA only and have very good triggers. I like that the slide can be racked with the safety on for loading and unloading. For spare mags, buy the Mec-Gars, lower price and better quality than what you'll get from EAA, although of all my EAA mags the .45ACP have been the only ones without issues.

I'd rule out the Baby Eagle unless you think DA/SA is a virtue. The Taurus OSS interests me too but I've never actually seen one.

The OSS should be out at the end of this year or first thing next year, you can find the 24/7 long slide still for about 400-450 or the normal 24/7 Pro for about the same. I have 2 24/7 Pro 45's. One is for carry the other has become a range beast with 9700 rounds to date. It has been perfect with all types of ammo. It is very accurate too I must add

12 shots at 14 yards off hand using Blazer Brass

+1-MPanova

The 24/7 OSS is the Best of what you listed. Promises to be a very High Quality .45 After talking to my gun dealer and, it should be out sometime December-January. My gun dealer will let me order one now. I also own a Taurus 24/7 Service model .45 and It has been very reliable and more accurate then I thought it would be. MPanova's target picture is very much a reality. Except I am at 10 yards distance when shooting like that. [MPanova is a Very Good Marksman-That is Excellent for any brand .45 at that distance]
