If you had $1000-$1600 to spend on a gun, which one would you buy? Very broad, no real needs to fill. Just curious what some of you would choose. I have been eyeing up the new TS12 from IWI , maybe another Garand or a M1A in walnut. If i went a little bit cheaper the Stribog has caught my interest.

So, one more in addition to those I have? Or if I could only have one gun for $1600 which would it be?

I guess if it was in addition, it would be either an H&K P7, new Sig P210 standard model, or a new Python ( in that order).

If I could only have one gun, (perish the thought, the only way this would happen is if TEOTWAKI occurs), then it would be a high-end AR like a DDM4, LWRCI, or a POF.

Aha! See recent thread about 10mms!

A Tanfoglio Witness Elite Limited! Hoping eventually for 10mm and 9mm uppers! Only afford one with your budget limitation though.

I’d scour the net for a Remington 700 action. Order a light weight taper .308 barrel from Krieger, find me a good light stock and detachable mag setup and take it all to my gunsmith to build me a 7lb tack driver.

but then I’d have to spend another $2k for the swarovski to put on top of it.

As many Remington 700 bdl’s that I could purchase for that kind of money lol. But On a serious note I’d like to find a nice ruger m77 compact in 7m08 laminate stainless and add some good glass to it.

Get yourself a nice old Colt, A revolver or early semi auto. Seems like a good use of a $1000 bucks to me.

I do not, it’s just exactly what I’d buy right now if I had the cash. Can’t believe how expensive it is, even at Buds.

Yea Buds is usually where I purchase anything with their prices but yea that are up there. $1600 for the tanker. The tanker and the ts12 are what i keep switching back and forth to.

I am torn with the question - I am fortunate to own a collection of firearms that I feel is “enough” however, I always see something else that I want. It is definitely an addiction - Step #1, I have a problem - “My name is Steve.....!” At this point, I will keep the money.

There’s been a lot of these threads lately. Must be tax season.

I’d either get a Dan Wesson DWX, a new Colt Python, a CZ TSO, or this

Every year I have fallen into some great deals around march-april from guys at work who buy some gun/guns they couldn't really afford with their tax return. 2019 was the only exception. Nothing came along. So I just put my money up and wait.

I was going to get a Glock 44 the first time I went to town this year after its release but I've decided to wait due to some of the reports. Otherwise I see nothing enticing right now.
