In light of the usual internet stories of bad customer service I wanted to share a few positive stories.

I recently purchased some used equipment (Hornady) from a local pawn shop.

The press was missing a few components or broken that I needed etc. I called Hornady and requested the parts, cost was a little high (I didnt mind a few $ but it was a bit steep [1/4 of cost of new press]). I asked their rep if they could work on the price a little bit (I already have a fair amount of presses and dies from them). Free shipping etc would have been great, all I can say is please and thank you.

The customer rep came back and said they would cover the cost as a good faith measure.

I recently had another interaction w a die set where I broke the decapping spindle. Called Hornady up and they replaced the components gratis. I had an issue w an LNL AP that had worn components after 10 years, same result.

I am a strong proponent of Hornady!

I have one of their multi-station case prep tools. After much use over several years, one of the internal gears broke into pieces. I took it apart and repair would have been easy, so I called to order the part. But they didn't sell the gear separately and wanted me to return the whole tool. So, they sent me a prepaid shipping label and I sent them the tool which they repaired and returned within a week.

Like I said, it was several years old and had seen a lot of use, but they still repaired it completely free of charge. Pretty cool.

They have always treated me well, I have no complaints. RCBS, Dillon, Hornady, and Lee, we are very fortunate to have companies like them to buy from.
I wish the companies that built our production equipment at work was half as good as these guys are. My life as a Maintenance Supervisor would be a lot easier.

Lyman took care of my broken die parts with upgraded components. No charge. Sweet deal

RCBS had much the same type of customer service. Took care of me on die parts and trimmer part.

Lee Precision has been the only one to argue w me about scratched dies (found the condition when they were new but waited too long to report it). They offered to repair them for half the price of a new set. Decent offer but by the time you pay shipping it was just not worth it. It was one of the few products I would still buy from that brand other than a Pro Pot 20 furnace.

No more Lee for me.
