The top one is an Imperial, all brass with a tortoise shell like inlay, stainless steel blade.

The lower is a Colonial with celluloid scales and brass bolsters, carbon steel blades.

They’re both sharp and have tight actions.

Let’s see what you’ve got!

I carry one of these every day... this particular one is my beater that was found in the parking lot at work, never claimed through HR and after a while it found its way to my desk and my pocket. I have a similar knife that is jigged red bone. Also a few toothpicks, and a pearl handled case pen knife... but this is my go-to anymore. I generally dont need more, and if I do then it’s in my desk drawer at work, in my car, or on the nightstand. D934C72F-6C5C-4192-A44B-D5BB54BC9310.jpeg

Ok, here are a few of the smaller knives around the place...

The top knife has a damascus pattern blade. The bottom one is made by Maserin in Italy.

A better pic of the Maserin.

And a better picture of the one with the damascus pattern blade. The pattern is kind of hard to see in the picture. For one thing, the entire blade is tiny and for another, the pattern is very fine--not a lot of bold lines in it. I think the scale material is some kind of a carbon fiber composite--it doesn't show well at all in the picture.

Here's a picture of a tiny knife with a larger knife for reference. The tiny knife has an S35VN blade and micarta scales.

This knife is a bit larger. It's next to an old SOG Bowie for size reference.

Definitely fit the tiny knife category, and with enhanced features. Very nice!

From top to bottom.

1 An all stainless, lock back keyring knife from Taiwan. 1 7/8" blade, 2 .5 " scale.

2 One I made from a piece of file left over from another project. 1 7/8" blade, 2 .25" Oak scales. Resides in the kitchen and is called the Amazon knife, as it is used to open boxes, from Amazon.

3 An Imperial Prov USA. 2" blade, 3" speckled celluloid scales.

4 An Owens Shirley Kuri neck knife, comes, with kydex sheath and neck chain.
1.5" razor blade, 4" overall. Green micarta scales with very comfortable choil.

Smallest knife I have is a titanium dog tag with a beveled edge. Picked it up from the Ft Benning PX years ago, mostly as a novelty item. For small practical knives I have used a Kabar LDK and a SOG Mini instinct. The SOG was just returned to me after the first time I used it.
