Colt Cobra as a Carry Gun

I have a New Cobra and carry it. Great trigger and action. Good sights. I like the fiber front sight. Shoots to point of aim. The Hogue rubber grips didn't fit my XXL hands, but Pachmayr Compacs do. Carry in my front pocket, no holster. The external hammer doesn't snag. If the weight is not a concern it makes a great carry gun. Handles +P loads if I do my part. I have a herd of Colts, with two Smiths. My first CC gun was a Detective Special. Wish I hadn't sold it, but the Cobra is a better gun. Straight out of the box the New Cobra is the best gun I own. But I am waiting on a new Python...

Great gun!
It has replaced my sp101, 442 and 642 as my carry gun.

The .38 to me is relegated to the backup gun or at least the "go to grocery store" gun. I carry a Colt government model edc. I currently use a Taurus 856 as a backup. The 6th shot makes it far better to me than the 5 shot J frames and their ilk (rugers included) I will eventually get the Colt Cobra night edition though, the taurus trigger is monstrous to say the least.
