Favorite barrel treatment for 9mm ar15?

Through some trading I ended up with a 9mm ar barrel and bcg. Have most of the parts to put it together, but it needs something for the barrel threads. It is threaded 1/2" x 28 so there are a lot of things that screw on there. And it is only 3.5" long, so this is pistol and SBR use only.

So what is your favorite 9mm ar15 barrel treatment? Flash can? Muzzle brake? A2 flash hider drilled through?

Yeah, I won't shoot any AR pistol with a handguard shorter than 9", and that only with a handstop (since I"m not a VFG kinda guy). Considering how cheap barrels are these days, it may be cheaper to find a 9"-12" barrel than figure out to cobble together a bunch of kit to make the 3.5" barrel act like a longer one.

VFG on an AR pistol like this one is verboten unless you pay tithe to the King.

I've got an 8" 300 Blackout. I think that's just a bit short. My 10" 9mm seems perfect.

I do want to keep it pistol friendly so no vertical grip unless easily removable. I have an SBR lower, but this will probably live on a pistol lower most of the time. This is my shortest barrelled upper. My next one is 7", so twice as much barrel. With a shorty suppressor I can keep it to 10" overall easy
 
Here it is finally with a 4" for end. I decided to go with a standard a2 birdcage for the moment, we will see how it works.
I am running the cheapo carry handle for looks at the moment, but I plan on drilling and tapping the very front of the handle in the sight channel and adding a front sight post. That should give me a 1 piece removable iron sight setup for really cheap.

Forend and pistol tube from Acme machine, MFT grip, Chinese red dot from Amazon. Aero precision sling plate and Endomag conversion for the pmags. It's tiny... 20200721_104707.jpg

I know, it's weird as heck, but with the red dot off it kinda looks like a p90.

The big nuts that hold the carry handle on there make for a great thumb rest too. It really needs a handstop before I start shooting it though...
