Understand that. I picked up some super comp brass but haven't loaded any yet. The plain old semi-rim functions perfectly with the stock 9mm extractor.
Been carrying mine a lot. Tonight just in the backyard trying to put a dent in the mole population. But it is outdoors I guess.

I picked up an Aftec extractor. It requires some fitting for my DW. If this doesn’t work, my next step is buying a 9mm extractor from DW and putting it in.
 
Took my kayak to one of the local reservoirs and did some fishing. IMG_20200702_101402546.jpg

The water is way down. Several feet below the bottom of the boat ramp. Fishing here is usually pretty good. It's slowed down quite a bit though over the last month.

I had lots of strikes and landed several small Perch but these three were the ones I kept. - Yes, there is a gun in that picture....
 
Had a great day at work yesterday. went to the lower altitude part of my area. (4800 ft). It’s much more desert like. Red rocks, yucca plants, juniper. DRY! Definitely snake country. Carried my Hogue bushwhacking knife again and a blackthorn shillelagh. Came in very handy for steep hills. Ran into a nesting nighthawk.

Can’t carry a gun at work, but if I could have, it would’ve been this one today.

Found a little mule deer antler. Also a 3” bull snake skin. I need to get some snake gaiters.

Yeah, given my profession I find it a little nuts that I can’t carry. But liability would be high for my employer.

If I broke that rule and was found out I’d not only end my career, but I’d be prosecuted.
 
We're leaving for vacation tomorrow. We rented a house along the Wisconsin River and will do a lot of hiking. I'll be carrying a Glock 43X with Underwood's 9mm 147 grain hardcast +P ammunition as well as a S&W Model 60 with #4 snake shot. 72C2A318-6B5E-4423-911F-32696B3F1E0B.jpeg
