I purchased the SAR K2000 9mm last month. It is all metal and a great gun. Totally reliable and hasn't had an issue whatsoever with anything I have fired through it. I liked it so much that when I saw the SAR B6C on sale, I decided to make the purchase. The barrel on the B6C is 3.8. I received it today and took it to the range. I didn't clean it prior to firing so naturally is was a bit dry. Nonetheless I fired 50 rounds of Magtech 115gr without any issues.

When I got home, I decided see if the slides were interchangeable. Lo and behold they were, everything cycled and functioned without issue. I actually love the all steel SAR. I really wish they made the B6C in all metal. By the look of the pictures and the feel, I think it would definitely sell. I will try to see how it the metal lower works with the smaller slide.

I will say that the shorter slide on the polymer frame did not slide as smooth as when on the metal frame.

If you're thinking of considering a CZ clone, SAR has been excellent for me in reliability and accuracy. And they are definitely cheaper than a CZ.

Mine is also excellent.

I bought my first B6C kind of by accident (long story). I liked it a lot, but "had to" trade it towards a 629. I replaced it soon afterwards. I've realized in the past few years that if I can get a stainless steel slide for $20 more, I should take that option every time.

The trigger and sights are good. It's nothing more or less than a well-executed polymer "clone" of a CZ75 compact. Mine were under $300 apiece OTD NiB.

There is a market for small, all-metal 9mm guns but it isn't nearly as large as the market for small, lightweight 9mm guns - light weight usually means polymer.

One of my first purchases was a STAR BM. Love it, but the magazines are atrocious. I have replaced the springs on both of my magazines, but they are still problematic. I even tried modifying one of the SIG magazines as explained in a youtube video, kind of works, but they are still problematic. Using the short slide with the K2000 steel lower feels very similar to the all steel STAR BM. The positive is that the SAR, is new, and the magazines are totally reliable.

If SAR ever comes out with an all metal compact, I'll definitely consider it. Right now however the K2000 and B6C scratch that itch.

Another thing that I noticed, the sights on the K2000 are dead on, while the B6C were a bit off. No isssues as I can adjust, but when I looked at the sights, the rear sight on the K2000 has much less room to slide over the B6C. No issues as the K2000 was dead on. A rarity for me since I'm left handed and right eye dominant. The only other firearm that I never had to make any sights adjustments on was my Glock17.

Agree, it's hard to find all metal compact 9mm guns. But I like the way the feel and the weight (to me) inspires confidence in accuracy as recoil is almost non-existant. I do have an ATI 45acp compact. It is all metal and love to take it to the range, but yes, small all metal compacts in 9mm or 45acp are not as plentiful.

I'm pretty sure that the pistols in this list shares the same internal frame parts of SAR and Tanfoglio, expecially the polymer framed pistols:
Bul Cherokee
Alfa Proj Combat and Defender
IWI Jericho.

Tri star is made by Canik. I have a couple of Caniks. First one is AWESOME TP9SFx. Second one, I purchased based on a review by Honest Outlaw and my experience with the TP9SFx. Yeah, the Canik Elite SC, had so many fail to return to battery issues that I sent it back. They claimed to have replace the springs and buffed the feed ramp. I got it back and not only have I had return to battery issues, but now I've gotten several of the striker not igniting the primer. Really annoying. Since then I've messaged Canik, but due to COVID, responses have been glacial. Asking if I would like to send it back, to which I sent back the email concurring with wanting to send it back, but also inquiring about the possibility of just getting a new one since the issue on the one I purchased hasn't been fixed. Now I'll sit here and wait for another week and a half before they respond. Really frustrating becuase you want to like a firearm (in my case the Warren sights are great and I'm very accurate with my shots and the Warren sights), but issues with it have not been fixed.

Sorry to get off on a rant, back to Tri-star. Looks like an excellent firearm. Love that you can change the grips on it. If there's any gripe on the B6C is that I cannot change the grips on teh B6C due to it being polymer. I have opted to buy some traction grips in Gray. I also got a sheet of rubber grip material. It seems like the little square that sits on top of the trigger lobe is made for your index finger to rest on, so I'll be putting a little rubber square there for reference.

Just looked up the C100..... Out of stock.....at Grabagun. Lists for 410.00. That is a good indicator of it being a good firearm.

Still, I'm happy (right now) with both my SAR 9mm models. Which BTW the models I have pictured are now also out of stock at Buds. So I'm thinking people are starting to find out about them.

The SAR k12 sport and sport x really have my attention. I want to see what the early adopters have to say, but they may finally pry me away from my witness match.

I'm still working on adjusting the sigths for my SAR B6C, but the SAR 2000 is spot on. As C0untZer0 stated there's a bigger demand for polymer style compact 9mm's over all metal 9mm's. I will say that the SAR 2000 feels much smoother when racking the slide over the B6C. I'm thinking because the polymer is not all metal, so it probably just needs more of a break-in. Still, today I fired >100 rounds through it today and not one issue.

I just made another rear sight adjustment on the B6C, I'm hoping to get to the range on Sunday to check my handiwork.

Once I have it sighted-in, I'll be happy and work on speed an accuracy.

I purchased the 19rd Mec-Gar CZ 75B magazine for my SAR B6P - MGCZ7519AFC. The magazine fit but not smoothly, I really had to slap that mag in there otherwise it didn't click in.

The magazine ejected OK.

So I read on the CZ Forums that some other owners were having the same problem and they just took a Dremel to one of the slots and fixed it.

If you look at the magazine face-on, (as if the bullet tips were facing you), you can see the slot on the left is a little lower than the slot on the right. (If you're looking at the back of the magazine, this would be the slot on the right).

So I went to Home Depot and bought the diamond tip for my Dremel. I took a little less than 1/32" off the top of just the slot on the right and the mag goes in easily now, but still fits in tight and releases fine.

They look great ! I am a CZ owner myself and always looking at the SAR pistols but hardly see them. Where did you find these ? How much did they cost ya ?

I've owned a B6C and had good luck with it. Recently, a local shop had a bunch of new SAR pistols, the P8s. It is a compact steel frame pistol, about the same size as a CZ75 Compact. I got one but had some trouble with it. One of the 2 mags wouldn't let me load more then 4 rounds. I fixed that by taking the mag apart, repositioning the follower on the spring, it seems to be okay now. I only got between 40-50 rounds through it and the front sight fell off. I was at an outdoor range, I looked in the grass for quite awhile, I never could find that sight.
I contacted SAR in Alabama right away, that's been almost 3 weeks now. The only time I've heard from them was a request to get a copy of the sales receipt. I think it will take a CZ front sight, but I really think SAR should support their product. I know it's a crazy time for the gun industry right now. I hope they can get back to me soon. Maybe I should just get a CZ sight, get it fixed, and send them the bill.
I should add, before the front sight fell off, it was shooting great, accurate and smooth.

I got them at Grabagun.com. The SAR K2 (my mistake I thought it was K2000) was 473.01 delivered. The B6C was 355.04 delivered. I have always liked CZ, but They cost a bit more. If they feel like my SAR K2, I can understand why so many people like them and use them for competition. In all honesty, prior to purchasing my SAR K2, I was unaware it was a CZ clone. In hindsight, I'm really glad I purchased both guns.

I completely understand as I am having the same issue with my Canik SC elite. Very frustrating, but I understand the current situation. That's why I'm glad I made my recent purchases. Variety is the spice of life.

Cleaned up the SAR B6C, and adjusted sights. Went to range and fired it to check the adjustments.

Got home and my order for traction tape came in, so I added tractiontape.

Glad I bought a square sheet, will be adding little traction squares for reference points on some of my other firearms.

Seems to be breaking in real well. The slide is easier and smoother now. Overall very happy with purchase, plus it wasn't expensive.

I finally heard from SAR USA. on my P8s pistol sight. Basically, they don't have spare parts. Whenever they get some from Turkey, they'll send me a sight. With factories geared up to sell new guns in the current panic, who knows how long that will be.
I'm hoping the CZ sight will fit. They are pinned differently, I may need some Super Glue. It's a nice gun, just not the support you get from other companies.

Yep. I saw the P8S come in on sale at Grabagun. That's exactly what I was looking for. All metal....... I requested a grabaquote and made the purchase. They were out of stock by the end of the day. Hoping it'll feel as solid as the 2000. Love my B6C and it has smoothed out really nice, but I can't pass up an all metal model.

I saw that P8S has an adjustable rear sight. That'll be really nice. Too bad they didn't put the adjustable sight on the B6C. That would have been great. Coincidentally, I looked around to see if I could find a SAR Adjustable rear sight that might fit. Yeah, as you mentioned, they are non-existent. Good think SAR will be sending you a replacement.

I have the K2 45 with the adjustable rear sight. Once you get the sights set. With the weight of the all metal version, shooting a hole through your first shot is doable. That's how accurate and solid a pistol it is. For me, I think the weight has much to do with that type of accuracy.

They are a little different than a CZ. They are much closer to being a clone of Tanfoglios, but maybe "copy" would be more accurate. The mainspring is not down the grip like CZs (and 1911s), but at the top of the grip instead. Definitely based on a CZ, because Tanfoglios are based on the CZ, but another generation removed.

I've not had problems with mine. Bucket list project is to turn a SAR CM9 (gen-2 version of the B6P I believe) into an "Open" gun... just to see if I can do a decent job. Many Tanfoglio parts are close enough to work.

I was a little disappointed that it took almost a month and multiple contacts to get the guy at Sar to admit that he couldn't help me. I'm sure the current demand has a lot to do with it. Maybe after all this is over they will get their service up to better standards.
The P8s is a good pistol. About the same size as my CZ75D Compact, it is going to be a fun shooter.
I have a CZ front sight coming in. I should have it up and running in a week or two.
Mauser lover, do you happen to know if Tanfoglio mags will work in the Sar? My CZ mags and MecGar mags don't fit well and, if I can get them in, they are hard to drop.
